It's time to #RunSweatParty for the Trail!
The hottest, sweatiest, most fun event of the year is almost here - the Maudie's Moonlight Margarita Run and Party! Beyond the running, tex-mex, and margaritas, MMR raises critical funds for everything we do along the Trail. If you've been looking for a way to give back to the Trail, why not MMR? The run & party take place on Thursday, June 7th at 8pm on the Seaholm Lawn.
Ticket prices will increase starting Tuesday, June 5th, so don't wait!
Thank you to our sponsors:
Maudie's Tex-Mex, NXP, Whole Foods Market, ACL Festival, Parsley Energy, Sharoll & Bryan Sheffield, Tarrytown Pharmacy, Hancock Wellness Center, Capitol Chevrolet, Outdoor Voices, WeWork, Austin Runners Club, Congress Avenue Kayaks, Umbel, Austin American-Statesman, KXAN, Quik Print, Community Impact, Seaholm Power, Oatmega, Great Outdoors Nursery, Dulce Vida, Under Armour, and AMD.

The Trail Bridge at Congress Avenue is open!
This stretch of the Trail under Congress Avenue had remained the same for four decades, and the aging infrastructure was a safety hazard for pedestrians and bicyclists due to a blind curve and narrow wooden bridge. Now everyone can safely enjoy this beautiful new bridge, whether passing through or stopping to enjoy the views. Thank you to all the donors that made this project possible!

Festival Beach Restroom
We want to hear your ideas about the replacement of the existing Festival Beach Restroom! This restroom project will replace an existing inadequate lavatory at Festival Beach, east of I-35 (map location). Jobe Corral Architects will design the new restroom. Construction is planned to begin early 2019.
The Festival Beach restroom, which was identified for replacement in the Holly Shores Master Plan, is one of the 15 projects The Trail Foundation announced earlier this year in honor of its 15th anniversary.
**The survey will close at 11:59pm CST on June 4, 2018.

Heat Safety on the Trail
It's already hotter than ever. Please be safe on the Trail and don't forget to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and try to run in the cooler parts of the day. Also make sure your pup is safe as well - watch out for heatstroke, bring some ice water, and avoid the parts of the Trail with little shade.
