Prince Andrew is being booted from public engagements because of his ties to late pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein, according to reports.
The Queen’s son, who has been repeatedly named in court filings in the Epstein sex scandal, was due to appear as a royal guest at a string of upcoming formal engagements in Northern Ireland.
But several appearances have been scrapped — with one organizer saying the prince’s presence would “change the narrative” of their event, according to Sky News.
The nixed appearances include the opening of a railway station after a $6.1 million overhaul, as well as several others that had yet to be formally listed over security concerns, the outlet said.
Andrew, 59, is still listed to attend a youth golf tournament that bears his title — the annual Duke Of York Young Champions Trophy at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
The club’s committee has been warned it would be “inappropriate” for the prince to attend under such a black cloud but will not withdraw his invitation because he is a patron of the club, Sky News said.
Instead, Portrush is waiting to hear if the prince still plans to attend, according to the report.
A palace spokesman told Sky News that the prince still had “a full program in Northern Ireland.”
Andrew’s reputation has been tarnished over his friendship with Epstein, whom he was spotted strolling through Central Park with and at whose Upper East Side mansion he was seen staying, even after the former hedge fund manager was jailed for sex with a minor.
One of Epstein’s main accusers, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, claims she was forced to have sex with the royal when she was just 17.
“He knows exactly what he’s done, and I hope he comes clean about it,” Giuffre recently said of the prince.
However, the prince has called the claims “abhorrent” and later admitted it was a “mistake” to continue the friendship.
“At no stage during the limited time I spent with him did I see, witness or suspect any behavior of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction,” he insisted of Epstein, who killed himself Aug. 10 in his cell in a Manhattan federal lockup while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
