• It was reported that Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their three-month-old son Archie were seen having lunch at The Rose & Crown pub in the village of Winkfield in Berkshire, England over the weekend.
  • However, the restaurant denies reports that the family of three visited.

Update, 8/29:

A spokeswoman from The Rose & Crown tells BAZAAR.com that reports of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Archie visiting the pub are incorrect. It looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for our next casual Sussex sighting.

Original story, 8/28:

Not even royals can resist grabbing a bite at a local joint. Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie were seen doing just that as they lunched at The Rose & Crown pub in Winkfield, England over the weekend, royal correspondent Emily Andrews reports for The Sun.

The family of three stayed on the down-low during the Sunday outing, so much so that other patrons at the restaurant didn't even recognize them, according to a bystander. In addition to their three-month-old son, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accompanied by two protection officers, Andrews reports.

"Meghan was cradling Archie most of the time," the eye-witness told Andrews, before gushing over the infant's unfussy demeanor. "The little lad was as good as gold, I didn’t hear him cry once while he was there."

Harry and Meghan "chatted away like any normal couple and were laughing a lot," the insider added. While other customers didn't notice the duke and duchess, the staff was aware of their presence "but kept the service low-key."

The pub appearance comes about a week after the Sussexes were seen traveling from Nice, France via private jet, which critics slammed as contradictory to the couple's stance against climate change. The backlash then incited the duke and duchess' supporters to speak out and shut down the repeated "attacks" on the couple in the press.
