wellington.CE@spca.nz or 04 389 8044 ext 8427 • CANCELLATIONS: • Fees are non-refundable • Given at least 14 days notice, bookings can be moved to different dates and times where available. • RESPONSIBILITY: • To ensure the welfare of our animals and the people involved, the hirer is responsible for: • ensuring there are only 12 children in attendance, • ensuring that there are at least two adults attending each party, but no more than four additional adults in attendance unless agreed on beforehand due to lack of space, • the behaviour of guests including children and any parents that attend, • along with SPCA staff, ensuring the safety of the guests and making sure no one is conducting themselves in a manner exposing them to unnecessary risk, • be aware of and cater appropriately for allergies that people attending may have, including but not limited to; food allergies such as a peanut allergy, animal allergies, asthma, etc. (If providing food for guests, it is recommended not to serve any foods containing peanuts.) • costs incurred through damage to the facilities is at the cost of the hirer, • enforcing Wellington SPCA rules. • WELLINGTON SPCA RULES: • All animal including those at Wellington SPCA deserve respect. Any guidelines provided by the SPCA's Community Engagement team must be followed at all times. This includes all groups using quiet voices and gentle handling techniques while around animals. Groups will be instructed throughout the event as needed to minimise stress to animals. • Unless accompanied by an SPCA Community Engagement team member, guests are required to stay out of secured areas. • Wellington SPCA is a smoke-free area, there is no smoking allowed on SPCA Wellington Centre's grounds. • Everyone must wear shoes and clothing appropriate for interacting with animals. • PARKING: • Parking is available at the front entry of SPCA's Wellington Centre by Alexandra Road • Please mind children and take care in car parking areas and be aware of moving vehicles and other hazards at all times • Additional parking can be found on Alexandra Road • Vehicles must not be left overnight on SPCA Wellington Centre's grounds • PHOTOGRAPHS: • Photography for non-commercial purposes is welcome • Consent must be granted for commercial or media photography. Please discuss photography plans at the time of booking.
