From pleurisy to pneumonia, the patients featured have all suffered a variety of chest infections that have negatively impacted their quality of life and overall health.

Living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) increases your chances of picking up dangerous lung and chest infections. These exacerbations or flare-ups are debilitating and patients often spend weeks and months in the hospital recovering.

The patients also discuss some of the side effects of taking steroids over a long period of time for their COPD, such as heart problems and problems with joints and bones.
