ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s swimming and diving team will kick off its 2018 postseason on Wednesday, February 14 when they travel to San Antonio, Texas for the Mountain West Championships at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center. The event will run through Saturday, February 17.

The swimming team is coming off of a training break after ending regular season competition with a home win versus New Mexico State on Senior Day. Three Lobos swept their events at the meet, including senior Madison Burns and juniors Adriana Palomino and Konoha Shinada. Both Burns and Shinada won two individual events while both swimming in the winning 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. The diving team was in action more recently, kicking off February in Flagstaff, Arizona, for a diving quad-meet versus host Northern Arizona, Boise State and New Mexico State. The Lobos were led by junior Natasha Dark and junior Madeline Horner with each earning one of the team’s two top-three finishes at the event. Dark finished third in the one-meter dive with a score of 264.05, while Horner captured third on platform with a score of 203.75.
