With most of the island security dead or missing, Sullivan is at the mercy of his captor, a demented and psychopathic mind without empathy, conscience or remorse. Believing the woman he loves is safe, Sullivan gives into his fate only to discover Eleanor has returned to save the man that she loves. Jealousy and power are at the heart of the betrayal when Sullivan must face his own demons to protect Eleanor Grace, and the islands he loves. FOURTH A LIE is a dark, gritty, raw and graphic story of betrayal, desperation and love; a story of the dysfunctionality of malice, jealousy, and carnal desires; an intense, dramatic, and startling tragedy . Once again, Pepper Winters tears at the fragile hold on humanity leaving nothing but a shred of pain and heart break.

4.5/5★ In this fourth book, Sully's despicable brother Drake finally made his way to the island intending to take everything from Sully, the island, the elixir, the goddesses and even Eleanor. From how the previous book went I had pretty much anticipated that something like this would happen but I wasn't prepared for the unslaught of it all, to be honest. There was a lot of fighting, people getting hurt and the ending makes me both crave and dread the next and final book. And yet I loved it all. Sully and Eleanor... what can I say about these two characters that I haven't said before. They just have my heart. They both are exactly what the other one needs but of course it isn't that easy. It never is in a book by Pepper Winters. I've also come to really care for some of the secondary characters. Jealousy, who is one of Sully's goddesses but also his friend, especially is one I adore. I've even come to like Cal, who before I wasn't a fan of. It's just another talent of this author, making me care for more than just the two main characters that the story is about. So after the ending of book three I knew this would be a very intense book and I was completely right. Everything happening in this book was much like Sully himself; merciless and unyielding. That's what made it such an incredible and thrilling read. It's no wonder that I finished this book in only two days. I really couldn't stop reading, it was such a good one! Fourth a Lie was way more unpredictable, more dangerous, even more sensuall and erotic than I originally thought it would be. I mean, I knew it would be another great addition to the series because I've enjoyed all the previous books but this latest installment definitely kicked things up a notch and I was soooo there for it all!

4* Wow the next installment we have all been eagerly awaiting & it didn't disappoint. Eleanor Grace & Sully Sinclair are becoming closer in their rocky relationship but nothing is going easy for them. An unexpected change in circumstances which neither expected had them both fighting to protect others. The story is completely drawing you in I'm now desperate for the conclusion.
