Dear Future Roomie, or what I like to call "Froomie",

I'm so glad I met you and that we made the bold choice to live with each other next year! I have to admit, I can't live with just anyone, so knowing I picked an awesome one like you calms any anxiety I had over having a bad living experience.

Now that we have signed the papers and you can't back out, there are a few things I want you to know about me.

1. I like to Sleep. A lot.

When I have the opportunity to nap, you bet your butt I will be napping. I can sleep through most noises, however blow horns, obnoxious hardcore metal music, and loud trumpet playing will not be tolerated.

2. What's mine is yours. Just ask

If you want to barrow a pencil, pen, paper, silverware, clothes, or literally anything else, just ask. I will most likely say yes.

3. We will be watching movies together.

Sappy ones, action ones, ones that make us laugh so hard we pee--all movies are on the table so be prepared for some hardcore movie nights.

4. I talk a lot

Every now and then we all need a good rant, am I right? But I also enjoy telling stories about my day, talking about the funny things I find on Twitter, or about my homework. I'm chatty. Just tell me to shut up and I will. I promise.

5. Sometimes I need alone time.

Sometimes I just need time to write, read, study and think clearly to myself. I need to be free of distractions. I'm assuming you need these times too, so tell me when you are about to lose your sh!t and I will be out of your way. We all need space sometimes in order to keep our souls happy.

6. I have frequent jam sessions

If you ever are in need of some random dance sessions, be sure to be present when I'm jamming out. These sessions usually take place when I'm getting all dolled up to go out on the weekend, when I'm cleaning, or when I am doing some fairly effortless homework. As long as you can roll with some 2000's throwbacks, we should have no problems.

7. More snacks the better

I'm a munchie studier, a munchie drunk and overall a munchie person. I'm not too picky so by all means, bring all sorts of goodies and we can have our own little pantry of empty calorie goodness. (I'm also down to work off those empty calories every now and then too).

8. I'm so excited to live with you

There is clearly a reason why I chose to live with you, and I could not be more confident with my decision. I can't wait to make some wild memories with you, study with you, and stay out of trouble with you. I can't wait to continue exploring college.

Love, your future roomie.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
