Prime Minister of Mauritius
The only radiotherapy machine available to cancer patients in Mauritius has been broken... for 1 month according to the authorities, but closer to 2 years according to patients and numerous doctors.
Cancer is the 3rd killer in Mauritius. Providing access for cancer treatment in the best possible conditions should be a priority for the authorities, even more so given the rising incidence of cancer in Mauritius.
We are asking that the Prime Minister looks into the matter and does whatever is necessary for a new machine to be available as a matter of urgency.
The present situation is shameful for our country.
