Adam Kornowski's performance of 'Imagine' goes viral

Somebody get Ellen DeGeneres’ attention, because a Minnesota fourth-grader’s inspirational performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine” is blowing up social media and bringing everyone to tears. Michelle Cavarnos Kornowski posted a three-and-a-half minute video of her son, Adam, playing the piano and singing Lennon’s signature song at the Lakeside Elementary school talent show. “There wasn’t a parent in the room with a dry eye by the end,” Kornowski said in the post, which has been shared more than 160,000 times as of Saturday afternoon. The video has garnered more than 6 million views, prompting some Facebook commenters to say Adam should audition for shows like “America’s Got Talent” or appear on “Ellen.” At the end of the heartwarming rendition, Adam took a small bow, and the audience applauded for what seemed like an eternity, Kornowski said.“Imagine” is one of the 100 most-performed songs of the 20th century, according to Broadcast Music, Inc. And we think Adam’s performance is simply one of the best.
