Anticipating and Responding to Mental Health Issues in Study Abroad in Israel
Together with
the Embassy of the United States in Israel, and in partnership with the Forum
on Education Abroad, we hosted a two-day workshop for administrators, faculty,
and staff of study abroad programs at Israeli higher education institutions
that receive students from the U.S. How to work with US students to promote
disclosure and collaboration regarding mental health challenges was a
major topic covered, as well as how to work with faculty and staff so they
understand their responsibilities and develop skills associated with supporting
students.
