Security Alert: Khartoum (Sudan), Gunfire Reported in Khartoum

Location: Khartoum, Sudan

Event: Gunfire reported in couple of locations in Khartoum

Gunfire has been heard in a couple of locations in Khartoum and Embassy staff have been advised to shelter in place until a determination can be made. The Embassy will continue to review the security situation and will provide additional information as needed.

Actions to Take:

· Keep a low profile.

· Monitor local media for updates.

· Be aware of your surroundings.

· Review your personal security plans.

· Have travel documents up to date and easily accessible.
