Interim Golf Course Operation and Public Events

• The San Geronimo Golf Course is open for golf and events.
   
• The new operator, Touchstone Golf has been busy hosting tournaments, booking tee times, and scheduling events.
   
• Touchstone is eager to meet the community and will host these upcoming public events:
  • First Friday Family Movie Nights! Come and enjoy Moana on July 6.
  • Fourth of July Shotgun Tournament and Barbeque at the clubhouse

Public Access Rules

• We heard from many people about the importance of providing public access during the initial  outreach and early planning period.
   
• In response, Touchstone is opening the golf course property for public, non-golf access beginning Sunday, July 1 on designated days and times:
  • Sundays: 3pm to sunset (front 9)
  • Third Fridays: 3pm to sunset (back 9)
     
• Touchstone invites the public to picnic, walk, ride bikes, fish, throw a frisbee, or play with their dogs during these open times. 
   
• For your safety, please respect the current rules when the property operates as a golf course outside of these designated public access periods.

Presentation to Board of Supervisors

• Parks staff will present to the Board of Supervisors (Board) on July 10. 
   
• The presentation will update the Board and the public on the visioning and planning process, golf course operations, and public access opportunities.
   
• If you are unable to attend the meeting, the presentation and board letter will be published on the Board meeting and upcoming events webpage.

Public Engagement: Visioning and Planning Process

• Time to put on your planning hat! The formal visioning and planning process will kick off with the Board presentation on July 10.
   
• This planning effort is a collaboration of County departments (Parks, Administrator’s Office, Community Development, and Environmental Health) with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy providing comprehensive planning support.
   
• Our first steps include inviting the public to explore the San Geronimo property and create excitement about the planning process and future potential uses. Parks will host several family friendly events during the new public access periods:
  • Naturalist Walk: Sunday, July 29 | 3pm
  • Senior Stroll: Sunday, August 5 | 3pm
  • Art in the Park: Friday, August 17 | 3pm
  • Bike the Park: Sunday, September 9 | 3pm
  • Bike the Park: Sunday, September 30 | 3pm
