Board of Direction Nominations Due Jan. 31
Do you know an active and engaged member who is ready to take on a leadership role? Now is your chance to let them shine! As we start our second century, SAME is searching for "the best of the best" to serve as National Officers and Elected Directors on the SAME Board of Direction.
The deadline to nominate candidates for President-Elect, Vice President, and Elected Director is Jan. 31, 2020. Submit online at www.same.org/leadershipnominations.
Respective nominating committees will determine the candidates who will be voted on by the membership during the online election, which be held from March 1–April 15, 2020.
Introducing the 2025 SAME Strategic Plan
With a new century comes a new strategic plan! Approved unanimously by the Board of Direction in November, the 2025 SAME Strategic Plan is now operational, effective Jan. 1, 2020. The development of the new strategic plan was a year-long process overseen by the Strategic Plan Task Force—which was led by Col. Sal Nodjomian, F.SAME, USAF (Ret.), and Col. Charlie Perham, F.SAME, USAF (Ret.)—and contributed to by members, partners, and stakeholders at all levels of the Society.
The 2025 SAME Strategic Plan is an evolution of the 2020 SAME Strategic Plan, which set the Society's focus toward two main outcomes: lead collaboration and support national security. Our now newly refined mission and vision, and goals and objectives will drive even greater engagement throughout the organization.
The plan is lofty and deliberate. Leadership understands not every Post will be able to contribute to all aspects of the plan. But collectively—through Posts, Student Chapters, Communities of Interest, Academy of Fellows, SAME Foundation, and the other groups and components that are part of and connected to the Society—we will. And in doing so, we all will have a measurable impact on securing America's future, together.
