Katie Crutchfield will return with a new Waxahatchee EP this autumn.

‘Great Thunder’ features songs written with the group of the same name parallel to Crutchfield’s work on her ‘Cerulean Salt’ and ‘Ivy Tripp’ LPs. It’s out on September 7 through Merge, following up last year's 'Out in the Storm'.

“I would say that it is a complete 180 from the last record: super stripped-down, quiet, and with me performing solo, it’s a throwback to how I started," Crutchfield said.

The tracks were resurrected alongside producer Brad Cook at Justin Vernon’s April Base studio in Wisconsin. Head below to stream director Christopher Good’s video for Chapel of Pines.
