Confronted about extra-marital affair, Ahmedabad woman assaults husband, mother-in-law
A lawyer in Ahmedabad has accused his wife of abusing him, thrashing him and attacking his mother.

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad police booked a woman chartered accountant on Friday for allegedly assaulting her husband and trying to strangle her mother-in-law. The woman allegedly flew into a rage after her husband confronted her about her affair.
The victim is an advocate in Sola, Ahmedabad. The 38-year-old man told the police that the incident took place during the early hours of Thursday at his residence.
The victim's name has been changed to Akash and his wife's name has been changed to Ishita. In 2017, the couple got married and started living in Ahmedabad. Akash started practising law while Ishita joined a chartered accountant firm. From the last six months, Ishita and her husband had been working at his office located near Kargil Crossroads on SG Road.
Confrontation fuelled the assault
Four months ago, Ishita started working with her business partner while staying at her husband's office. Akash grew suspicious of his wife after her business partner started visiting his office frequently. According to The Times of India's report, Akash installed CCTV cameras in his office to keep a watch on his wife.

The advocate's suspicion rose further when he heard some of his staff members gossiping about his wife's alleged affair. On Thursday night, Akash - who was working late - reached home around 3 am on Friday. Ishita allegedly asked her husband about the CCTV cameras as soon as he entered the house.
Akash said, "I told her my staff had told me what she does at the office with her business partner. For this, I had installed the CCTV cameras." After listening to which, Ishita allegedly lost her temper and started hurling abuses at Akash. Allegedly, Ishita told Akash that she would murder him with the help of her business partner.
When Akash's mother tried to intervene, Ishita allegedly pushed her and made an attempt to choke her. Akash said, "When I tried to rescue my mother, she beat me and threatened to kill me." After the incident, Akash approached the Sola high court police and lodged a complaint against his wife. Ishita was booked for causing hurt, uttering abuses and criminal intimidation.
