Contemporary Romance Series 2024. Kobo+. MC’s H Maximillian Rocharte ,Prince of Belleno in the Alps. h Vivian DeRose ( from Chicago). Max asks Viv to marry him on bended knee in Chicago at her bar. She said yes. Fast forward to their wedding day. Max is kidnapped. They spend two days along with the Bellano police looking for Max. With some clever sleuthing Max is found. Max and Viv get married by a priest in a St. Francis of Assisi church in Belleno with just the immediate family and close friends in attendance. On their honeymoon in the Caribbean a telegram from the Archbishop informed them their wedding was not real as the man who married wasn’t sanctioned by the church.

After the craziness of book #1, one would think that Vivian is now ready to settle down with her fairy tale prince, Max, and live happily ever after. He has chased and caught here, after she ran away from the wedding where she was supposed to marry the other prince, Leopold.
The book kicks off with the days leading up to the wedding, the 2nd time Vivian is headed to a royally decked out altar. This time she is supposed to marry Max - under no pretences like the first trip. Bad fortune seems to follow Vivian tho, as with her crazy ladies in waiting.
So when Max leaves the altar (before Vivian gets there) and doesn't return, all hell seems to break loose. Vivian is going insane coz she is sure she didn't get dumped at the altar. No matter what Leo says. Or how much chemistry there is between them now that Max is not around.
Will the romance; altho faked previously; prevail between Vivian and Leo? Or will Vivian and her bevy of ladies figure it out what has happened to Max? And the most important question: Will they get away with a ton of ridiculous nonsense that the women get up to as with book 1?

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review :)
From the first time I read the blurb, I was excited to read this story. I was sorry I didn't read the first book in the series and was worried if I would be able to catch up - thankfully, this second installment is easy to get along with and a fast read.
Overall, I consider this story as light, fun, and sexy. While it misses the mark in certain aspects of the plot line or character development, I found it simple enough to enjoy.
To my liking, the female heroine's personality and the dialogue was a bit forced. In my opinion, she wasn't completely genuine to me and I couldn't fully relate, as much as I tried.
Overall, it's a quick, fun read and I would recommend it to fans of the genre.
I look forward to discovering more from the author :)

A thoroughly entertaining book!
Ok, I thought the first book in this series was crazy, but the plot in this one was off the walls. Poor Vivian, she is a good honest girl from Chicago in love with Prince Maximillian of Belleno, and all she wants to do is actually marry him. How difficult can getting married be?? Apparently very difficult for Vivian and Max. And then throw in that Max’s older brother, the Crown Prince, Leo - the man she was “fake engaged to” in the last book, has admitted to having feelings for her too. How much is one girl supposed to handle? But she dos it well. I enjoyed this book even more than the first. And with the way this one ended, I seriously can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

This novel takes us on a magical mystery tour, in search of the missing Prince, with Vivi getting much assistance from her ladies in waiting, and her former (sort of) fiancé, Crown Prince Leopold.
Disclaimer: I'm personally acquainted with the author.
While part of a series, this book can be read as a stand-alone. I loved the humor in it; if you love classic movies with witty, sparkling convos between heroes and heroines, only with some steamy sex, too, you'll enjoy this book.

An inconvenient attraction is an added complication that Vivian is unprepared and unwilling to deal with.
The next installment promises more of the same crazy, funny antics.

I did not read the first book The Prince’s Playbook (The Crown Affair). This was a fun filled ride from start to finish. As Vivian is standing ready to marry Prince Max he disappears. Was she left at the alter or did something happen to the man she loves.
Entertaining and romantic story between a Prince and a commoner.

This was my first read of this autor. I received the book through the NABC.
The story has potential, but I missed some depth, some more plot explainings, less "jokes" bij the Ladies in Waiting.
Maybe it is because I didn't read the first book, but the autor clearly states that you can start reading here.

Cute book that I received in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the book. I wish I would have read the first book before this one, although you didn't have to, I feel like it would have been better if I did. Overall I liked the book and enjoyed the author's writing.

This book will keep you wondering what’s next all the time! Vivan dreamed of a happy ending with Max, but instead got heartbreak, drma, angst and so much more. The story was captivating and entertaining.

This was my first book by this author. It was awesome. The story and characters were so fun and captivating. Ms. Dumond definitely took them on a wild ride. These aren't your average royals.

This is another cute, funny, sexy continuation to The Prince's Playbook. This story has hot sex, some weddings and a bit of adventure. Can't wait to read the next installment to the series.

i didn't like this. it kinda felt like it was written by a different person than the first book. the dialogue was very weird and repetitive and the plot was painfully under-developed.
