Focusing on Families

About Family Focus Project

Families can be an important to people with disabilities throughout their lives. Families can be defined in many different ways. Families need resources and support to assist them in their role. Families tell us they want to be connected to information, support and assistance that helps them plan for their family member’s future.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services values input from families and is interested in learning more about your experiences about life planning for your family member and how you connect and learn from other families. This will build on the work being done to improve supports for families across the state.

We are gathering input from families living in Minnesota who are supporting a family member with a disability through listening sessions and online survey. Families will have the chance to tell us what resources for life planning and connecting families are important to them.

Share your experiences.

Thank you for your interest in the Family Focus Project.

We have completed our in-person Listening Sessions and and online survey option.
