Celebrating Independence Day
All Austin Public Library locations will be closed on Thursday, July 4. 

Artist Michael Albert (American flag, left) will be at Branch libraries this week with a pop art collage workshop for tweens ages 9 to 12: July 3 at Carver, July 5 at Ruiz, and July 6 at Twin Oaks

Dinosaurs by day & night, July 12 & 13 

The Central Library Special Event Center will transform into a dinosaur museum for two events this month. On Friday, July 12, APL After Dark presented by The Library Foundation will host an adult after hours event at 7 PM, and tickets are available for $7
On Saturday, July 13, the exhibit will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM, and is free and open to the public with no tickets necessary. 
 

Cool off with July's summer reading fun!

The Central Gallery exhibition will feature photographs and photographic collages by Elizabeth Chiles, on view July 16 – August 16.
