We are delighted to announce the GRC 6-SAT service will now include the Thuraya commercial TacSat (T-TAC), incorporating the Flipper Tactical Converter Module (FLIPPER-T). GRC has extensively tested and trialled FLIPPER T-TAC on-the-person and on-the-move, with impressive results and quality of service for voice and data, providing increased performance and cost-effectiveness over commercial TacSat.    Significantly increasing the operational effectiveness of Command & Control, the FLIPPER T-TAC solution operates over Thuraya satellites, with the upcoming Thuraya-4 launch, providing even greater service coverage.   The lightweight small form factor system connects to existing tactical and commercial VHF/UHF radios providing a beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) capability over Thuraya, and with a tool-free antenna swap, it can be rapidly converted to support other Commercial TacSat networks.   Steve Slater, Managing Director commented “Operational over LAND, SEA and AIR, it will fulfil a complete range of user case requirements and can be connected to a secure radio with no degradation to existing encryption.
