Strata hits target with tank factory acquisition for resi conversion

Strata Radial Park demolition2

Housebuilder Strata has acquired a former tank factory in Leeds from Columbia Threadneedle Investments and unveiled plans to convert it into a residential development.

The 45-acre site at Crossgates, known as Radial Park, has been converted from a tank factory into a mixed-use scheme with tenants signed by Columbia Threadneedle since 2001 including Royal Mail, ITV, and West Yorkshire Police, which used it as a firearms and dog training centre. Columbia Threadneedle bought the site from Vickers Defence Systems and has now sold it on for an undisclosed sum.
