Twitter had a laugh when a fan presented Danica Patrick a drink with Aaron Rodgers sitting in the next seat

Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick watch the action during the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics NBA playoff game, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Naturally, when Milwaukee sports has a significant moment, alcohol is involved.

When it wasn't David Bakhtiari of the Packers slamming a couple beers on the giant scoreboard at Fiserv Forum, it was a buzzed-about interaction caught on TNT's cameras Wednesday, during which a fan presented auto racer Danica Patrick a drink – free of charge. It all took place as the Milwaukee Bucks staged a 116-91 win over the Boston Celtics to clinch a win in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Patrick, of course, is the girlfriend of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (who also happens to be a minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks), who was sitting to her left, not apparently all that involved in the exchange.

The fan, as it turned out, was local developer Rick Barrett, and he spoke to WTMJ radio on Thursday morning. Barrett is the developer behind notable Milwaukee high-rise apartment structure The Moderne next door to Fiserv Forum and the planned Couture high-rise overlooking Milwaukee's downtown lakefront.

Barrett said he did order the drinks but didn't pay for them (they were free to seat-holders in that area), though he did pay the tip. Barrett said he had made acquaintances with Patrick and Rodgers at an earlier Bucks game when they sat in the same seats.

"This is Milwaukee hospitality at its finest," Barrett said on WTMJ's The Steve Scaffidi Show. "Those are my season tickets, so I'm fortunate enough to have those, and Danica is from Wisconsin; she's one of us."

Twitter had lots to say about the interaction.
