Getting busy at the Club
We have been busy, and so have you. It’s been wonderful to see so many people enjoying their time back out on the golf course.
We have seen a lot of people return to the game, after a long absence, and loads of people who have recently taken up the sport – especially kids. It just goes to show that there are silver linings amongst the gloom surrounding COVID-19.

Uncut fairways

Congrats on your round of 79, Bruce!
Bruce Stevens was all smiles on Saturday afternoon after breaking 80. His 79 gave him 43 points, but what makes this even more remarkable is that his handicap came down from 25 to 15, before he shot the 79!
We would love to say that his golf improved after he bought a new set of clubs, or had a golf lesson from Elsabe, but that not so. He did, however, try a couple of new things with his swing that clearly worked. Plus, he’s on a new diet of Glenbrynth Whisky.
In memory of Prof Saladuhhein Dawjee
A fitting tribute was paid to Prof Salahuddein Dawjee last week, when his friends unveiled a new bench in his honour. It has been placed at the 10th tee, and we are sure that it will be well used.
