On Friday Governor Whitmer – Beginning October 9, a number of previously closed businesses are slated to reopen statewide, including indoor theaters, cinemas, performance venues, arcades, bingo halls, bowling centers, indoor climbing facilities, trampoline parks, and more.

Prioritize Customer Service Now More Than Ever

As companies have adjusted to operating during the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic fallout, prioritizing customer service has become more important than ever. Without a strong base of loyal buyers, and a concerted effort to win over more market share, your business could very well see diminished profit margins and an escalated risk of being surpassed by competitors.

 

OSHA and MIOSHA Ramp Up Fines for COVID Safety Breaches
The fines and penalties for breach of employer safety obligations surrounding COVID contagion continues to ramp up. Late last week fines by MIOSHA against 19 more employers were announced. These fines came from site inspections resulting from complaints but also regularly scheduled inspections where apparently the employer did not take COVID safety protocol practices as a serious concern.
 
Survey Finds 51% Have Been More Productive Working from Home During COVID-19
According to a FlexJobs survey of approximately 4,000 people who have been working remotely during the pandemic, 51% report they have been much more productive working from home than they were in the traditional office. 44% said their productivity was about the same, and only 5% say they have been less productive in their home office.
