Delhi Election Result Live Updates: All eyes today are on the national capital, where vote counting is on for the 2020 Delhi assembly election results. The Aam Aadmi Party is all set to sweep the Delhi election and is leading in 62 seats at 2.50 pm. The BJP is leading on only 8 seats and the Congress on none. The primary contest in the 2020 Delhi election is between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2015, Arvind Kejriwal's AAP had registered a near clean sweep of the Delhi assembly, winning 67 out of 70 seats. Will the party be able to repeat that performance? At 4.30pm. the AAP has won 13 seats and the BJP just one, as per the Election Commission's latest data. Overall, the AAP is leading in 63 seats and the BJP in seven.

AAP wins 6 seats, BJP 1

A few more results have come in. The Aam Aadmi Party has won from the Ambedkar Nagar and Rajinder Nagar assembly seats. Meanwhile, the BJP's OM Prakash Sharma has won from the Vishwas Nagar constituency. Overall, the AAP has now won six seats while the BJP has won one. The AAP is also leading on 57 other seats while the BJP is leading on six other seats.

BJP concedes defeat

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which currently is leading on only seven seats in the Delhi election result, has conceded defeat. BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda said in a tweet, "The BJP respects the mandate given by the people of Delhi." Nadda said the BJP would play the role of a responsible opposition and congratulated Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party for the victory.
