Adele orchestrates ultimate surprise marriage proposal on Oprah special

These lovebirds are singing Adele’s praises — because the soulful songbird served as the ultimate wing-woman in their surprise proposal.

Sharing the spotlight during her much-ballyhooed “One Night Only” concert Sunday on CBS, the 15-time Grammy Award winner set the scene for a Los Angeles man named Quentin Brunson to pop the question to his unsuspecting girlfriend of seven years, Ashleigh Mann.

“I need every person to be really bloody quiet, all right?” whispered an excited Adele, 33, to her star-studded audience at the landmark Griffith Observatory in LA.

“If you make a noise, I’m going to kill you,” the British bombshell jokingly threatened before instructing the show producers to dim the venue lights.

Per the “Hello” hitmaker’s orders, a hush fell over the crowd full of A-list attendees — including Lizzo, Kerry Washington, Melissa McCarthy, Gabrielle Union, Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake and Ellen DeGeneres — as Quentin, 31, ushered a blindfolded and earmuffed Ashleigh, 33, to the forefront of the outdoor setting.

A clip of the heart-tugging stunt has already racked up more than 2 million views on Twitter in less than 24 hours:

“What are we doing, Quentin?,” asked Ashleigh as her soon-to-be fiancé guided her to the stage. “Am I on grass?”

Quentin then removed her earmuffs, permitting Ashleigh to hear the concertgoers chuckle at her unguarded questions. She then removed her blindfold to see her boyfriend on bended knee.

“What are you doing?,” Ashleigh asked as tears rolled down her cheeks. “Quentin Brunson, you’re crazy, man,” she said as the audience giggled.

“I’m extremely proud of you — and I mean — every day, you blow my mind. There is absolutely nothing that you cannot do and I just know you are going to be an amazing mother to our kids one day, and I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you and will continue to love you forever,” Quentin said before finally asking, “Will you marry me?”

A sobbing Ashleigh — after asking, “Who are these people?” and saying, “Thank God you didn’t let me eat, I would have thrown up” — finally said “Yes!,” to a standing ovation of whoops and cheers from the crowd.

Then the real surprise stepped out from the darkened stage.

“Hello, Ashleigh, hi, Quentin, you all right?’ said Adele before instructing them to go sit in the front row.

Gob-smacked by the moment, a stunned Ashleigh asked Quentin, “Am I alive?,” as he escorted her to their VIP seats, situated between a beaming Lizzo and a choked-up McCarthy.

McCarthy, 51, couldn’t stop crying as the touching scene played out in front of her and the crowd of A-list attendees. CBS

And Adele couldn’t help but make light of Ashleigh’s jaw-dropped delight.

“Thank God she said yes, because I didn’t know who I was going to have to sing this song to, you or him. Oh my God. Look at her, she’s so in shock,” the “Rolling in the Deep” diva said with a cackle.

She then serenaded the sweethearts with a performance of her 2008 classic “Make You Feel My Love” — stopping a few times to tee-hee at Ashleigh as she wept unabashedly. Adele concluded the sweet scene by inviting the couple onstage for a congratulatory hug.

No stranger to helping fans curate crazy proposals, Adele previously helped gay couple André Söderberg and Simon Carlsson get engaged during her May 2016 concert at Denmark’s Forum Copenhagen.

But during her “One Night Only” special — for which Adele sat down for an in-depth, exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey — the “Someone Like You” songstress unveiled her thoughts about marriage since her “inevitable” divorce from entrepreneur Simon Konecki, whom she credits with saving her life.

“I take marriage very seriously and it seems like I don’t … That’s what it should be. When we have kids, we stay together, and I tried. I was so disappointed for my son, I was so disappointed for myself,” said the “Easy on Me” luminary. She filed for divorce from Konecki in 2019, and their official parting of the ways was finalized in March.

But Adele maintains that she and Konecki have remained great friends.
