This is the 1-year-old boy who was senselessly killed in NYC

This is the 1-year-old boy whose life was tragically cut short by a hail of bullets in Brooklyn late Sunday.

The tot, identified as 22-month-old Davell Gardner, was among a group at a barbecue at Raymond Bush Playground in Bedford-Stuyvesant when as many as three suspects hopped out of an SUV and opened fire around 11:35 p.m.

Little Davell was struck in the stomach and taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he died around 2:30 a.m., sources said.

Three men, ages 27, 35 and 36, suffered injuries. No one has been arrested.

“All I ask is they get the people who done this,” a relative at the scene of the shooting told The Post on Monday.

Davell was set to turn 2 in September, sources said.

A man who identified himself as the boy’s grandfather but didn’t want to be named was sitting outside near the park when shots rang out.

“We thought it was fireworks at first,” said the man, 74, who added that the suspects wore hooded sweatshirts. “I ran in the house.”

That’s when the man said Davell’s mother ran inside — with the dying boy in her arms.

“‘He shot!'” the man recalled his daughter screaming. “He didn’t have no blood on him or nothing.”

The fatal shooting — part of a scourge of recent gun violence in New York City — prompted a visit from NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea to the family on Monday morning.

The city’s top cop met with Davell’s mother briefly to offer his condolences.
