Q: How close does a thermometer detect temperature?
A: Body temperature is detected within 2-4 inches away from the thermometer.

Q: How accurate is the device?
A: The temperature accuracy will be in the .18F range of a true value.

Q: I can not find the app in the App Store?
A: You can use the provided QR code attached to the instruction manual or you could search “Bluetooth thermometer” by Min Zhu in the medical category.

Q: What height do you recommend mounting it?
A: There are no restrictions on the mounting height. You should mount it at your desired height. We would recommend 5’6 feet from the ground for convenient use for all heights.

Q: Is it recommended for it just to remain plugged in at all times for best results?
A: Results will not change if it is plugged in or using the battery or both.

Q: How does the alarm system work?
A: The alarm goes off on factory settings at 100F. If someone has a temperature higher than 100, the alarm will go off for 2 seconds and the red lights will turn on for 2 seconds. You can change the temperature at which the alarm goes off through the app.

Q: Can you export the temperature data from the app?
A: Yes, you can! The data can be exported as a data table in any format and you can choose what dates you want to export.

Q: Does it have a reset button?
A: Our thermometer doesn't have a reset button but you can reboot the system by removing the battery for 1-3 hours.

Q: Can the thermometer be placed outside?
A: Yes, it can be placed outside but keep in mind extreme high or low temperatures can disturb the infrared reader and cause inaccurate temperature readings. It's best to be kept at room temperature and away from direct sunlight for the most accurate readings.
