PUC Clinical Counseling Program
Purpose
The purpose of the PUC Clinical Counseling Program is to remove barriers to learning. Clinical counseling services for our students are provided on all of the PUC campuses.
These services are provided as a result of partnerships with multiple colleges and universities throughout the Los Angeles area.
Marriage and Family Therapy interns complete their clinical hours on the PUC campuses under the guidance and supervision of highly qualified, certified PUC staff.
This program provides counseling services to PUC students as needed, to improve mental health in order to promote higher academic success.
As a result of the success of this program, other charter schools in the Los Angeles community requested that PUC share the program by placing and supervising interns on their campuses also. In the spirit of collaboration and partnership, interns are now shared with several Los Angeles charter school campuses.

PUC CLINICAL COUNSELING PROGRAM
The PUC Clinical Counseling Program is dedicated to servicing the needs of the students and families of PUC schools. The goal of the PUC Clinical Counseling Program is to improve students' mental health by providing access to high quality mental health care. The program provides connections between our school system and the mental health system by offering internship and Traineeship opportunities for those in a clinical program or who have recently graduated from a Marital and Family therapy, Art Therapy, Psychology, School Counseling, Social Work or LPCC program.
MISSION
The mission of the clinical counseling program is to provide a comprehensive school-based counseling program that provides mental health in an educational environment that links students and families, reducing barriers to learning and improving overall emotional development.
To our Clinical Counseling Interns and Trainees, we are committed to educate, support, develop, and supervise clinical and academic service professionals towards successfully achieving their academic and vocational goals to better service the community.
