Thousands of voters submitted absentee ballot applications through the COVID 19 provisions that were approved by the Gov. The Gov issued further provisions to clean up what has become a significant debacle. The Secretary of The State office chose a Rhode Island-based mail house that ultimately dropped the ball. As a result, this action disenfranchised thousands of registered voters who never received their ballot or received it so late that mailing back would not be the most effective choice.

However, as a result, thousands of people went without an absentee ballot. They were disproportionately disenfranchised because of compromising health conditions, lack of transportation, and only access to 1 or 2 ballot boxes for towns and cities upwards of 130,000 +. We the people cannot and will not stand by and allow further lack of organization to impact our lifetimes' most consequential election.

Therefore, we are pleading with you Gov. Lamont to direct an order to develop and mail out absentee ballot applications and begin issuing the actual ballots for the November Election on September 1st, 2020 (or earlier).
