Excellent Dashcam
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very impressed with the ease of installation for the Garmin 66W Dashcam. The picture quality is excellent and the user interfaces, both on the Dashcam and the app, are very intuitive. The video is true 180-degree left to right and vertical video is sufficient to catch traffic lights, etc until almost under the light. Note that a memory card does NOT come with the Dashcam and must be purchased separately for the Dashcam to work. I got the largest that would fit, 512GB. I am happy with the ease of viewing videos via the Dashcam or the app. File transfer via the app to my iPhone was very lengthy. I won’t say it was slow due to file size; it just took a long time. I have not removed the memory card for file transfer on my desktop but would be a computer limitation anyway — not related to the Dashcam. My installation is very clean in my 2016 F-150. An adapter cable for the rear view mirror added a USB connection usable for the Dashcam. Works great, automatic power-on with ignition, and no wires in the way or routed to power outlet. Overall, I am very happy with the Garmin 66W Dashcam and would recommend it to anybody.

Great Recordings
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with the video quality and the 66W is the reason. I wanted 1440 pixel resolution. It is instant proof of how poor many other drivers are. The camera needs a SD card (about the physical size of a finger nail). I had to spend one day solving the 32GB SD card limit. Larger capacity SD cards do not use FAT32. Larger SD cards must be reformatted with FAT32. The camera should be sold with an available choice of SD cards (size in GB) all pre-formatted in FAT32. Of course, the higher the capacity, the greater the cost. It is easy to connect to your laptop (use your cell phone charging cable, not the cables with the camera). You can view the MP4 files (about 1 minute each). Each is numbered and follows sequentially in the unsaved folder. Simply erase unneeded files, or allow the camera to overwrite. With a $33.00 SD card of 128 GB (reformatted to FAT32), I expect to get about 10 hours of camera time before overwriting begins. The save video option becomes less important with a high capacity SD card.

Excellent Dash Cam
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera was very easy to set up and quick to install. The accompanying mobile app is also easy to use. The video quality is excellent, you can choose to record sound or not and display mph. The camera powers on and begins recording automatically when you power on your car as long as you leave it plugged in. Overall very pleased.

Good quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good camera. Lane departure feature is not accurate and annoying. I’m not a fan of the mounting. Have to stick it in window and can’t move it from one vehicle to another. If there were other mounting features this thing would be great! Other than that it does what it says it does.

Does all it is supposed to do
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install and operate. Nice clear picture with an amazing wide view. Links easily with phone. Have the volume muted as the lane divergence warning was too sensitive. I chose to hide the unit from the driver's direct view, thinking the screen was always on and would be a distraction, but it goes off after a few seconds, so no need to do this!

Great dash cam
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as a replacement for my dash cam 55. Quality of the cam and the wide view is very nice. The onboard options are even better, you can update the firmware from your phone without connecting to the computer, the live view from phone is a nice feature. Option for a bigger memory card for more recording is a plus. The new feature to allow you to link u multiple dash cam so they can synchronize record with picture in picture is pretty cool.

Excellent product for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to setup, plug in and go. Connects quickly to the app. Video quality is very good. Crash avoidance feature works very well. Would like to add a rear camera if that is possible?
