INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS IN MALLORCA

The Academy International School

Founded in 1985, The Academy is an international school that bases its education on the British system and a holistic approach. It has seven hectares of land where students interact with nature and the environment. It accepts students from the age of 2 to 18.
  • Curriculum: According to the British curriculum, English is the main language at the Academy and 90% of the teachers are British. However, Spanish, Catalan, German and French are also taught throughout the course. But the Academy is much more than an excellent academic education. Students are also educated with the aim of personal and human development.
  • Location: The school is located in a beautiful estate in Marratxí, surrounded by nature. To get there, you can travel by car or train. By car, the journey from Palma takes less than 15 minutes. By train, get off at Polígono de Marratxí and walk for about 20 minutes. Secondary and Baccalaureate classes are held in a new, modern building just 3 km from the primary school.

Bellver International College

All students also learn Spanish from the beginning and have the option of taking English and French as electives. Older students prepare for the Mittlere Reife and the Abitur. The exams are taken in cooperation with the German school in Barcelona.

Liceo Francés

Recognised by the Spanish and French Ministries of Education, the Lycée Français international de Palma provides a caring, multilingual learning environment for children aged 2 to 18 who can take the French Baccalaureate.
  • Curriculum: It is based on the French curriculum and most subjects are taught in French. However, the Lycée Français provides a multilingual education and focuses on the individual. Queen’s College, which has a history of almost 45 years, is a secular, co-educational school based on the British education system. It admits 400 children aged 3 to 18 each year and is renowned for its academic achievements.
  • Curriculum: The curriculum at Queen’s College is based on the British National Curriculum, but students can also opt for the Spanish Selectividad. However, education at Queen’s College goes beyond exam success. It is taught in the broadest sense: helping students to lead fulfilling and happy lives.

Svenska Skolan

The Swedish school in Mallorca is a public school for children between the ages of 2 and 18, run by a parents’ association. At Svenska Skolan, teaching is based on the Swedish curriculum and offers a wonderful atmosphere that promotes good results.
