About this ebook

You shared a secret with the wrong person.

Janey Markham is thrilled to be moving with her family to Buckingham Crescent, the smartest address in a desirable suburban town.

Worried she’ll be excluded by the glossy local mothers, Janey is thrilled when she meets Tanya, the kind of woman she has always looked up to. Tanya takes Janey under her wing, and her teenage daughter Angel is amazing with Janey’s little boy. As Janey and Tanya grow closer, Janey feels she can finally leave her troubled past behind.

But then everything changes…

In a weak moment over a bottle of wine, Janey finds herself telling Tanya her most shocking secret. Why wouldn’t she trust her new friend?

The following day, Janey sees Angel, with a man old enough to be her father, pushing someone into a car. The next day a body is found and police appeal for witnesses – and share a picture of the same car…

When Janey tells Tanya she is going to the police, Tanya turns threatening. She’ll stop at nothing to defend Angel, even if her daughter is guilty. If Janey says anything, Tanya will make sure that her dark secret gets out.

Janey faces an impossible choice. Stay quiet about what she saw that terrible day. Or speak up, and destroy the family she has worked so hard to protect…

From million-copy bestseller K.L. Slater comes this twisty and absolutely unputdownable roller-coaster ride of a read. Fans of The Girl on the Train and Gone Girl will be totally hooked on Little Whispers.

Janey and her family are coming up in the world. Her husband got a huge promotion, but they have to move ... the new company is throwing in a much larger house in a posh neighborhood and where the schools are much better for their son. It doesn't hurt that Janey was a teacher and may have an opportunity to teach again. She's not sure she will fit in with the glamorous other school moms, but she is willing to give it a shot. It doesn't take long before she has new friends ... Tanya, Edie and Ky. In a weak moment, over a bottle .. or two .. of wine, Janey tells Tanya her deepest, darkest secret that no one knows other than her husband. Little does she realize that this one action will come back to haunt her in a huge way. The best secrets are the most twisted. Janey's husband has grown distant and she worries he may be having an affair. Never would she have imagined anything worse. Guaranteed to keep the reader riveted to each and every page, this thriller is well written with several twists and turns that lead to a shocking conclusion. Nothing is at is seems. Many thanks to the author / Bookouture / Netgalley for the digital copy of this psychological thriller. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Needless to say this author has outdone herself again. She is one of my favorites and there is definitely a reason why. I just can’t get enough of her and her books. I must read them all. This book was about a woman who had a dark upbringing that if it got out could ruin her and her family. Janey moved into a posh neighborhood where secrets don’t stay secrets for long. Everyone has an agenda and will use your deep dark past against you for their gain. Don’t trust anyone especially the ones closest to you. I have to say that I read most of K.L. Slater books and loved them all. This one was no exception. It had everything you want. A secret past, a child in danger, a husband who can’t be trusted and a banging great twist of an ending. This whole book worked so well for me. The characters were great, the plot was awesome and it had a roller coaster ride and an ending. I just loved every part of this book and couldn’t get enough. I stayed up all night to finish the book and boy was it worth the lack of sleep the next day. My only wish is that this author keeps these great books coming in the future. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is something of a slow burner that gradually pulls you in until you don’t want to put it down. Janey is struggling to cope with not just the death of her mother but the mind blowing secret her mum revealed to her right before her death. When her husband gets an incredible new job offer she sees the opportunity to ditch the debt they were struggling with and have a fresh start as it involves relocating. I really enjoyed seeing Janey build relationship up with her cliquey new neighbours, especially Tanya who takes her under her wing. It’s easy to see how Janey wants to rebel from her mothers conservative ways and why she would be flattered to be part of a friendship group, especially one as glamorous as this. I was really eager to learn Janey’s secret and it was frustrating having to wait until near the end however the other twists and turns were even more monumental.
