Excellent Anthology!!!! I basically got this for two of the stories but ended up reading them all !!!! It lead me to two new writers that I didn't know about and I've added 10 more books to my already out of fucking control kindle!! This was one of the steamest anthology I've ever read! And here are some of my very favorites!😉

Amelia Hutchins Supernatural syndicate was fucking hot!!!!
Raithe Dravyn is a fucking beast!!!! I love how totally alpha he was with a whole lot of psychopath vibe! This monster is not for the faint of heart! But boy can he make a women wet! And the fangs and all over tattoos have given me the hornies!!And chevelle is a smart bad ass bitch who has suffered in the past but who has more balls then most men and together with Raithe the chemistry and sex was like a napalm bomb violent and all consuming leaving both open and vulnerable! Can't wait to see where this story is heading but if this little short story is any indication I'm gonna need several clean pair of panties and maybe two boxes of tissues for clean up!😂
Dark Alleys and Bad Ideas by Michelle Hercules was a awesome short with a vampire and a tough ass lady cop who partner up after her partner gets killed by a werewolf!

Ashes and Wine by May Sage was a fae romance with a hot and sexy fae king named Vaemon !!! He's arrogant as fuck but sexy as hell. Some really great steamy scenes and short and sweet.

The candle and the blade by CN Crawford and Lindsey Hall was a tale about a Sidhe warrior and a dominatrix named madame Selene who meet at a sex club. Selene is hiding from a abusive ex who is stalking her and When the hot sexy Sion comes to the club its game on! Selene is no push over but something about this warrior and his touches sets her body on fire!

Elemental Storms by Elle Middaugh
All Sienna wants is to bring back her parents but when she's given a book on dark magic she opens up a portal to the gods and that's when the fun begins! This was a very hot and steamy romp with some very hot immortals!!! Another short that had me reaching for a clean pair of panties!!! Dion and Seth were awesome!!!

Fake Date with a Demon by Bec Mcmaster
I friggin loved this one so much!!! Tayla is a techowitch for archangel Uriel and fights for team good but when she's asked to rescue a woman who's been taken by the Lycans and is being held at the Greymarks mansion and will be hunted and killed as part of their grand ball she needs a way in and protection so she summons a demon named Azeroth . Azeroth is as deadly as he is beautiful and tayla makes a deal for payment in blood. The chemistry was nuclear and the scene in the limo was glorious!!!!! Another pantie change was needed!!!! 😂

Worship Me by AURELIA JANE AND KEL CARPENTER
Another steamy short With Pan and Adora was fabulous with a feisty peacock shifter and a hot sexy brooding shifter king! Their chemistry was amazing with great laugh out loud moments and also a little angst and some hot loving!!

Until next time Luv's💕💋

Just read the one by Amelia Hutchins for now, The syndicate (which is like the series Scandal, featuring a heroine who is called the Fixer and the Mc aiming for presidency in a paranormal setting) and it was a good premise!
I’m not into dub-con hence the rating but it was a very good surprise and I can’t wait for the full fledged novel!

Aurelia and I’s standalone Worship Me is in this antho. Please consider reading and leaving a review. 🖤

The blurb:

My goddess is reborn.

The mouthy peacock shifter I find is not the woman I knew. She’s somehow more.

More human.

More lovely.

More sinful.

And I want her more than I ever have before.

There’s just one problem.

She doesn’t remember her past lifetimes—or that I’ve killed her in every single one.

I received an ARC for Dark Ally’s and Bad Decision by Michelle Hercules. The following is my review of this story only, NOT the entire Anthology.

Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I almost had a heart attack when this novella hit my kindle! Michelle usually doesn’t write novellas, and for good reason. Her stories suck you in and leave you breathless. It was too short and I’m left desperately craving more. Good thing Conor & Jill’s story it’s over yet.😉 Having a novella end on a cliffhanger is brilliant and evil at the same time. It leaves you in pieces, scrambling for the next one.

Jill is so fiesty and challenges Conor like he’s never experienced before. I loved the back and forth between the two with tension

-Review for “Elemental Storms” that is included in this anthology written by Elle Middaugh-

I adored Storms of Blackwood and the Essential Elementals remix. This crossover of the two series and realms is exactly what I needed to read. I loved that the ending was most definitely not what I expected. Not in a bad way at all, it was actually a pleasant surprise. Although Sienna faced loss and depression, she is choosing to live her life to the fullest and “water her seeds”

My most favorite quotes from Sienna’s story:

♥️“Remember, water your seeds. Spend time nurturing them—‘them’ being the things that matter most to you—and soon, those things will grow to nurture you in return.”

♥️“I can promise you, we will take it all. Every broken splinter and every perfect fragment of your heart and soul…everything will be ours.”

♥️“…live your life. Chase your dreams. Make yourself proud. Fall in love. Do the impossible. Try and fail, then fail again. Just don’t give up on yourself or your one evanescent life.”

Devour is a fantasy anthology, which is a collection of 12 short stories/novellas. The following are reviews for the books I read from the anthology.

REVIEW FOR ELEMENTAL STORMS
Elemental Storms by Elle Middaugh is a crossover novella, bringing the Storms of Blackwood series and the Essential Elements Remix series together.
Sienna’s mission to resurrect her family has her cast a spell aka dark magic, that is until she thinks she’s summoned a demon.
In his drunken state and looking for a bed to crash on, Dion stumbles into one of the portal rooms, only to discover a portal which leads him to Sienna. He and his friends will offer Sienna a bargain which she can choose to take a chance on or turn her back.
POV’s are from Sienna, Dion, Ares, Alexis, Loki and Seth. Whilst this is a short story having the POV’s from different characters allowed the story to quickly flow and steamy scenes to have a chance to build.

The Candle and the Blade Lindsey Hall and CN CrawfordSion and Selene’s story was an enjoyable whirlwind! Did. It got he way I was expecting.

Twisted Fates Hannah McBride—Sierra and Kace’s tale had me combing McBride’s list for stories to read. I was interested from start to finish on how things would work out. From the deets dropped, I was also left intensely curious about other characters!

Fake Date Bec McMaster—Wolves, witches, angels, demons…McMasters always delivers a juicy tale and this spin off from Prince of Ruin was fantastic! Azeroth and Tayla’s tale had intrigue, steam, and a host of characters I enjoyed.

Hunted Dragon Jen L. Grey—Cassie, Vlad, and Thorn’s story was a great surprise! Really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to read on what happens next for Thorn.

Worship Me Aurelia Jane and Kel Carpenter—Pan and Adora’s story was fascinating. Neat spin on mythology with extra. Very cool.

Death’s Kiss SK Reign—This tale was super intriguing. Death and Life, Her and Him…loved it! Curious to see what happens to their daughter.

A Bite of Temptation Daniela Romero— Aria and James were swoon worthy! The deception aspect isn’t my favorite plot thread, so wondering where this will end up?

Blood Lust Atlas Rose— Faith and Knight’s twisty tale was almost too quick to grasp all the details. It was an okay read.

This is an excellent collection of paranormal and fantasy short stories/novellas from various authors in the field. I have only had the opportunity to read one of the stories but will continue to update the review as I get through the rest.

Death’s Kiss by SK Reign 5/5
So much is packed into this short story. The two main characters are never named, remaining ‘her’ and ‘him’ throughout. They should not work – she is a reaper (but not really, as she arises from a time before reapers existed), and he is mortal. She is drawn to him, the only person in all her thousands of years of existence who has ever seen her, yet being near him weakens her, and the possibility of her reaping his soul increases.

They should not work, but they do. Their love story is so pure, so heartbreakingly real. But get your tissues ready for that ending.

Death’s Kiss can be read alone as a short story or as a prequel to an upcoming series. I know I am hooked.

Fantastic and thrilling

I have read some fantastic stories from some really great authors. Most of these authors were new to me but my favorite did not disappoint with her story. Amelia did what she always do and that was she wrote a story that grabs you and does not let you go. I was hanging on every word and definitely wanting more when she wrote her famous last words “the end for now “. I already want more now.

Worship me by Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane was everything that I was hoping it would be and more. I’ve read books by both of them before and loved every bit of those. This boom was no different. Set in the immortal vices and virtues world, you get a look at Pan and Adora. The chemistry, the character building, the story was all amazing! I can’t wait to see what those two come up with next.

This was decent. As with any anthology, some were better than others. I've never read any of the series / books they spin off of, so that was probably a factor in some of this.

Supernatural Syndicate - Amelia Hutchins - This was ok. I liked the m/c. There was some obvious backstory I struggled with, like the relationship she had with her team when they showed up, but the rest of it worked.

Dark Alleys, Bad Ideas - Michelle Hercules - This was good, again, the backstory and the world building took me a hot minute to acclimate to, but it was a good read. This author I would seek out, really liked her characters.

Ashes and Wine - May Sage / Alexi Blake - Wasn't a huge fan of this one, it was more fantasy than paranormal, not that that's a bad thing, just wasn't what I was going for. A lot of data dumping, and I couldn't keep the princes straight.

The Candle and Blade - CN Crawford / Linsey Hall - I can't ember what this one is about. Whoops.

Twisted Fates - Hannah McBride - This was definitely a tie in to a series and there was a lot I had no clue about but could figure out pretty rapidly. Shifter pack politics, etc. The writing was good, the story decent. This was one of the better stories in the anthology.

Elemental Storms - Elle Midaugh - This I wasn't into. It read fun and there was a really 20 something vibe to it, but just didn't catch me. Shifters, Gods, Portals, reverse harem, meh. I'm not sure what it was lacking for me, but it was.

Fake Date with a Demon - Be a McMaster - Does what it says on the tin. One of my favorites. Definitely checking her out to find out what happens.

Hunted Dragon - Jen L. Grey - Meh. I liked the characters, but don't think I'm into dragon shifters. Writing was ok, for me it had some jarring worldbuilding stuff.

Worship Me - Aurelia Jane / Kel Carpenter - This was ok. Shifters, gods and moving between worlds. I would read more from this author.

Death's Kiss - Sk Reign - This was probably the most literary of the bunch, and it was really good. I would read this author again for sure.

A Bite of Temptation - Daniela Romero - Really like her, downloading her books.

Blood Lust - Atlas Rose - Again, downloading her stuff. This was good and super hot vampire stuff.

Worship Me ♡ Adora and Pan

I've been dying to read Worship Me ever since we met Adora in the first book of the Immortal Vices and Virtues world.

Adora is a peacock shifter and the last of her kind, she can't explain the feeling but she's always felt she was more and her existence meant more, there was always a pull towards Arcadia the world of shifters but none had ventured through the portal for many years bcoz once through none had returned.
She'd trained to become a portal watch guard and found herself at the very portal She'd be drawn to for some time. The voice that constantly whispered to her from the other side was nothing new but as the days went on it became stronger until one night a man came through claiming she needed to return home to her family in Arcadia. The man? The God-King of shifters Pan. He was summoned by the priestess to bring Kali the goddess of destruction back each and every time she was reborn. But this version of Kali aka Adora was not the same as the woman he'd known many lifetimes, she wasn't the blood thirsty woman who never forgave, this version didn't lack empathy, this version he craved. Adora had no idea who she really was as Pan hid the truth from her but she came to hate the goddess of destruction as she saw first-hand all the pain she'd caused Arcadia, not knowing that it was her past self that caused it all. Their chemistry had always been undeniable but once Adora reached the tomb where she always returned and would once again be reborn and have her memories returned would she see what she should have done so many lifetimes ago to stop herself descending into madness and destroying Arcadia or will she be blinded by Pans betrayal in keeping her true identity a secret and start the cycle all over again which always led to Pan having to kill her to save his beloved Arcadian Shifters.

Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

So, as this is an anthology, I will review the stories as I read them.

I'm so spoiled with these stories in this anthology, I have found new authors and new series to read *sigh* so good!

Worship Me
I was so happy when Kel and Aurelia told us Adora would have her own story!
I loved it! It's short (but not too short); it also has the required romance and action (but not too much).
It was well written with no (noticeable) errors, and there was some heat (if that is important to you.
A delightful read, I pretty much love every book they write, but it just feels like they get better and better (happy me!).

Supernatural Syndicate
At the moment, I have a love/hate relationship with the books the author is writing. Some are so good, and others just aren't. This one falls in the middle. The story's premise is great and has potential, but the story itself does not make sense. Questionable events happen without any reason or explanation, characters behaving one way and then totally different the next we see them,... The heat level was scorching but felt impersonal.
The characters and story have amazing potential (and, of course, I love Raithe), but I think (a lot) more editing needs to be done.
This story isn't finished, so not sure if there will be a continuation.

Dark Alleys and Bad Ideas
I loved this novella!!!!! This is the setup for the spinoff, but it reminded me that I really need to bump up the Blueblood Vampires novels in my tbr pile.
Conor (a vampire in the Red Guard) and Jill (a human detective) have sizzling chemistry, and while, at first, they don't want to be near one another, they will find that fate has something special in store for them. Even in this short novella, I have to say, I loved the writing, character development, and overall vibe. The heat level was HOT :D
Yes... I need more blueblood vampires in my life!

Ashes and Wine
Another novella that I loved (wow, I'm so spoiled in this anthology!). What's not to love? We have fae princes, captured brides, and deals that you need to think about from all angles cause the fae are crafty! I loved the worldbuilding and the characters. The heat level was hot (and sweet at the same time). While not overly much happened, we got to know Lili and Vaemon a fair bit, and I can't wait to read more about them in upcoming novels!

The Candle and Blade
A short novella by CN Crawford and Linsey Hall... and I absolutely loved it!
I didn't want it to end. I want to read more about Sion, Selene/Lilian and York, and Brioc.
If someone knows where I might read more of this... please let me know!
The characters are interesting and feel very alive. While we don't know much about Sion, except a bit of how he ended up here, we learn quite a bit about Lilian (who, tbh, might be more than she seems). The interactions are good, fun, and well-detailed. There is a tiny bit of spice, but it feels more like a teaser of things to come :)
I just really, really enjoyed this little snippet. I would read the hell out of a book about these characters :D

Twisted Fates
I haven't read anything by the author, Hannah McBride, but I really liked this novella!
I want to warn you, though, if you haven't read the Blackwater Pack series, and you might want to in the future, skip this for now, as it has spoilers (it takes place after the series, I think). I haven't read the series, but the first book, Sanctum, is now on my evergrowing TBR pile :D
I liked the characters a lot; they had depth and felt alive. Sierra has a lot of baggage from what she has done, so we know a little more about her than we do about Kace. The interactions were well written; the scenes were detailed enough, and even without knowing a single thing about the series, I got to know the relevant information about what went down.
As I've said, I will surely be visiting this series again in the future!

Elemental Storms
It took me a bit to get into the story, but when I did... god, I love mythology and bringing gods (and goddesses) into the 'real' world :D
Sienna is hoping against hope that this last-ditch effort will get her what she truly desires: resurrecting her parents. She has been in a downward spiral ever since they died, and this is the last thing she can try... well, except going over to the dark side.
What she doesn't bargain for are four gods, Dion, Seth, Ares, and Loki, to step out of a portal and want to experience her world in return for a meeting with Hades.
I enjoyed reading this crossover novella between the Essential Elements and the Storms of Blackwood world. The characters were interesting, the scenes were well-written, and it was a great read once I got into the story. As I apparently already have the first book in the Storms of Blackwood series, that one has been bumped up on my reading list. If you love mythology, you have to read it!

Fake Date with a Demon
Yes, Yes, Yessss!!! This is what I love reading :D :D
*sigh* I wish there was more...(except for the first book in the Claimed by the Demon series, Prince of Ruin)
Azeroth, the demon who is apparently also the bogeyman to other demons, and Tayla, a techno witch exiled from her coven, make such a great couple! I mean... this novella was hot as hell :D I loved the characters. They were exciting and had depth to them, even in this very short story. The writing was good, the scenes were detailed and clear, and it sucked me in. Alas, it was over before I knew it. Needless to say, I will be following this author for more!

Hunted Dragon
As I've come to expect from the author, another great story, or rather, a prequel to a series I wasn't aware of, "The Marked Dragon Prince Trilogy."
Join Prince Thorn, his nanny Cassie and the assassin Vlad in what will be bound to be a crucial character-building moment in Prince Thorn's life.
This prequel was very well written, with interesting characters and a touch of romance. It made me want to start reading the actual series right away to know how things continued :D I can't gush or reveal more, as that would be spoiling, but seriously, if you love dragon shifters, fated mates, and all that good stuff... pick it up!

Death's Kiss
Ah, how bittersweet this prequel was. Love is growing between a reaper-like woman and a man.
For some reason, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but this felt so damn wholesome (well... as can be, of course).
Compelling characters, a good narrative, and my heart in need of a break to glue it back together...
This story is the setup for Doom & Destiny, which comes out in November 2023, and which, of course, I will be reading!

Amazing authors in this anthology!!

Review for Worship Me:
Another entry to the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe, we get a glimpse of the mysterious land of shifters, Arcadia. The shifter god-king, Pan, and Adora, the peacock shifter sister of Danni from book one of this series. This is the only novella in this series, and it gets to the story very quickly. Pan is being blackmailed to find Adora and return her to her family. His world and people rely on his completing this task. But there is a much deeper connection between them, and it’s not a pleasant history. Adora is a very strong personality, and yet the prospect of meeting her family, other peacock shifters, has her agreeing to go with Pam when he approaches her. As they venture to their destination, there is plenty of action and sexual tension, a slow burn, but being a novella, the overall wait isn’t unbearable, and the delay not only makes sense, but totally works for the story. The banter and pace are great, and the story is another great piece of the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe.

Original review

This book was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane!

Worship Me is a novella set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world and tells the story of Adora and Pan. This short story can be found in the Devour anthology.

After meeting Adora in the first book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, I wanted to know more about her. She seemed like an interesting character, and she deserves a happy ending. Worship Me is a novella about Adora and Pan, it’s a short story that you can easily finish in one sitting. I really liked getting to know Adora more, I loved her history with Pan, and I’m happy that they got their happy ending.

Worship Me was another amazing addition to the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. I’m so in love with this series, the different characters and houses. I really can’t get enough of the Immortal Vices and Virtues books, and I’m going to be so sad when the series is finished!

Pan and Adora

As always this is the latest in the #ImmortalVicesAndVirtues series and they’re all #Standalone so you can read them out of order but I do recommend reading them in order to catch the character crossovers and the little #EasterEgg hints

Do you remember Adora? Danni’s sister from “Reject Me”?
If you haven’t read it - go read it now… I’ll wait… GO!

Caught up? Yeah? Good let’s get stuck in.

Cobra chicken - having owned the domestic UK version in the past YES this is an accurate description of the grumpy buggers!

Oooh this was good. I enjoyed the sexual chemistry between our two leads and the smouldering slow burn. Of course the ignition is incendiary 🥵
Shame we don’t see a bit more of it!

I liked the history of Pan and Kali and their stories that spanned aeons of time.

I would like to hear more of Pan and Adora and maybe we will!? Who knows what the rest of the series holds!

Just read Elemental Storms by Elle Middaugh for now.

Elemental Storms is a crossover novella between the Storms of Blackwood and the Essential Elements Remix! You get to see the characters you know and love once again in a magic (and spice) filled novella!

From the Essential Elements Remix - we met Sienna. Now Sienna isn't doing well. She's been focused on trying to bring her parents back from the dead and it's consuming her life. After making another attempt, she thinks she failed and summoned demons. Only....they aren't demons. They are Gods - specifically some of the Gods we meet in the Storms of Blackwood. Dion, Seth, Ares and Loki.
Together they agree to help her try and bring back her parents *IF* they can spend the day with her.
This day is full of chaos, sexual tension and craziness.

This is my review for Elemental Storms by Elle Middaugh. I received an advance copy for my review. This is a crossover between the Storms of Blackwood and Essential Elements.
This novella has Sienna, (deep in the loss of her parents) attracting the attention of theStorms and a few Demi Gods from Greek mythology. The Storms and the Demigods befriend Sienna and try to help her work through her grief without causing any problems with the Gods, etc all while the Demigods try fighting a growing attraction.
In my opinion this appears to be the first in a new series that I didn’t know I needed until I received an advance copy for my review. Now I am looking forward to the next one to be released. Elle Middaugh has a way of pulling you into a story and keeping you there until the end! If you like adventure, mythological elements, magic,etc.. I recommend this book…

My review of Elemental Storms by Elle Middaugh.

I loved the Storms of Blackwood series and the Essential Elementals remix. This anthology has this book with is a cross over with both of these series. I loved the short story, it had the drama, humour and the characters worked well together. The story made me want to go back and reread the books all over again. I enjoyed the plot, it was such a fun read. Seeing the characters together and going on a new journey was fun and interesting. If you haven't read the crossover books then I highly recommend it. The writing is fantastic and the flow was beautifully done. Such a great short story that grips you from start to finish.

WORSHIP ME - AURELIA JANE & KEL CARPENTER;

This was such a great book! It was only about 100 pages long and I absolutely flew through it (ha, pun intended!) I was so hooked to the story and couldn't believe I finished it so soon! I never wanted it to end! I've been wanting to read Adora's story ever since I read Reject Me (her sister's, Danni's story) and to finally get to read it was just amazing. The book itself was great, a rollercoaster of adventures and emotions and I loved every single second of it!

4,5/5 stars.

I love Anthology books, it gives you the opportunity to read amazing stories all in one area! And I loved S.K. Reign's Death's Kiss. Oh my gosh, this story was a great opening for a new world. It was so crazy, and it was almost primal with the "him/her" instead of names. It's such a different paranormal story than what I'm used to so I can't wait for the rest of the story!

I also loved Worship Me from Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane, it’s apart of the shared world of Immortal Vice and Virtues series! We met Adora a few books ago and I was so excited to finally get her story! Even though this is a novella, it’s not short on tension, love and a crazy story. Pan is the shifter god, and Adora is his mate, but their story isn’t easy. Can they make it through all of their hardships?

This review is for Worship Me by Kel Carpenter. What a great way to finish off what has been an amazing series by some exceedingly talented authors. Im eagerly awaiting the release of the paperback so I can read more from this talented group.
Adora is a peacock shifter and a goddess with past lives that cause untold angst and death in her realm. With her newfound humanity its a crap shoot whether Pan the shifter god-king can work his magic to stay the inevitable chaos that generally follows her rebirth. A great read with wonderful world building and a lot of twists along the way.

Loved Adora’s story she was such a brilliant part of Danni’s and really deserved her own. I loved the world building in the new realm of Arcadia it opened new doors to the world we have learned about so far without interrupting othered stories. Pan is hot!! Broody!! And yummy. He is definitely on my book boyfriend shelf hehe.

The story was fast pasted, action packed, had heart reaching moments as well as funny ones.. it was super hot and yummy. Worship me was just an all round brilliant read.

Worship Me is part of this Devour anthology which consists of a collection of novellas. Each story are like teasers for what's to come in the future from these authors.
Worship Me by Aurelia Jane & Kel Carpenter
Here we are introduced to Adora & Pan (which are also in Immortal Vices & Virtues book series but as side characters), who are bada** & just trying to survive. In Worship Me, it's like a slow burn but also fast pace (if that makes since). Overall, it's an action packed, great, quick & fast pace novella.

Fake Date with a Demon by Bec McMaster

Bec McMaster is my favorite author, so of course when she announced she was writing a novella for the Devour Anthology, I had to read it ASAP. Fake Date with a Demon is a spin-off novella in her Claimed by a Demon series (so far only one short book is out, however she has mentioned she would write more books in this world, just not at the moment).

This story follows Tayla, a techno witch, who summons the demon Azeroth to be her fake date for reasons you'll read in the novella. This novella built on the world established in Prince of Ruin and basically gives us a whole Bec book in 8 chapters. It was short, spicy, and a HFN.

I really hope that Bec jumps back into this world soon because it's so different a unique!

This book gives you many great stories. Just like the one from Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane in Worship me from the Immortal Vice and Virtues series that features are fiesty female Adora. We get to learn why there are no more peacock shifters and were shifters come from. Pan is the shifter god and Adora is his mate that he is forced to kill in every reincarnation of her. Will this time be different.
