We’re barely two months into the year, and amidst the usual buffoonery we have come to expect, we’re also counting some wins.
Let’s start with the good news.
Last year, Harry launched a case against The Associated Newspaper Group, after an article on the Mail On Sunday and Mail Online claimed that he had lost touch with the Royal Marines.
Last week, the case was closed and the Daily Fail paid out damages over the article which was full of nothing but baseless claims.
As part of a wide-ranging smear campaign against Harry, the press and other Royals have tried to make the relationship between Harry and the military look strained. We know that Harry’s military titles have been used as a bargaining chip to make him stay within the fold of The Firm.
Medals and Titles are in fact, meaningless. Actual service, and having an actual heart for what you do is what matters. Beyond this media circus, Harry is the only member of the Royal Family who has served on the front lines of war.
As in line with the Sussexes usual generosity, Harry is naturally donating the money won from the case to The Invictus Games Foundation. It’s interesting to note, however, that the amount of money was not publicly disclosed. Perhaps Harry himself has decided to keep this private, in which case, we respect this decision. We can’t help but wonder however if it was a big amount and this was made public if it would encourage more celebrities to start fighting back against the tabloid press.
Even after the phone-hacking scandal, these gossip rags still haven’t learned their lesson, and why would they when there’s no real cheques and balances in place. The very organisations that are meant to be keeping them in line (like IPSO) seem to do nothing.
In other news, Kate and William finally decided it would be a good time to speak out about racism via a series of Tweets..
That noise you just heard was every capillary in my sockets popping while my eyes rolled.
This comes well after a summer of racial tension and tragedy in 2020.
This comes years after the start of a smear campaign against their bi-racial sister in law.
When Cambridge fans were posting racially abusive messages about Meghan and baby Archie on Kensington Royal social handles, those comments were left up and are still visible to this day. Yet accounts criticising the Cambridges were quickly blocked, and their critical comments (although many not abusive in any way) were deleted.
Completely unoffensive comments like ‘Diana’ were removed from the social pages of Clarence House after the release of Netflix The Crown, Season 4.
We have never heard anyone in The Firm take a strong stance against the racially-charged, misogynistic abuse that has been lobbied against Meghan from the day she stepped out with Harry.
The Cambridge’s have no place speaking out against racism at all, and thankfully, people have called them out for their hypocrisy. Why are they comfortable talking about racism in football, but not when it comes to the treatment of their own family member.
Even now, there is nothing stopping any of the other Royals from coming out and voicing support for Meghan and speaking out against the bullying.
The truth of the matter is that they are way too deep in the dark trenches with the press to say anything now. They are and have always been, part of the smear campaign. Deals with the devil never end well.

William should be the last person on earth talking against racism. He needs to start to clean up his own social media first, and apologize to his lack of support toward his black sister in law, and how about standing up for his brother’s family. I can’t with this island! Good article. Spot on!

Harry and Meghan are dedicated to their work and continue to remain committed and connected to the various organizations they have always been so passionate about. They are doing exactly what they promised to do.Everything else is just noise!
KATHLEEN WILLIAMS says
Grand Wizard William and his KKK have no moral authority to launch an anti-racism campaign given that they aided and abetted in Meghan’s persecution by colluding with the press.
