I was given the ebook from the author for an honest review.
I was so excited when AJ told people she was writing a paranormal. I did not know it was witches until much later. I admit witches are not my favorite of the paranormal universe, but I could not wait to jump in. I wanted to see what AJ created.
Brandy is a witch that has no clue she is a witch. Seems her family on both sides come from a long line of witches buuuut no one told her until right after her birthday. When strange things start to happen and a tall dark drink of water helps save her from a tublar…aka low-level demon…she is thrust into this new world of shifters, witches, demons and more.
Ryan is sooo never going to mate because women are trouble. He and his bestie Peter are going to hang out playing Xbox and enjoy being bachelors but then……he meets Brandy. His world flips and he is not too happy about it….at first.
The story is interesting in that Brandy, Ryan and Peter are trying to figure out the who’s and why’s of what’s going on with Brandy and the people after her. I will say the world building in the beginning made that story flow a bit slow. BUT by about 45% I think the pace picked up and we are learning more about her family curse, her siblings plus the paranormal world in general. I am so loving Peter and even Xander. I seriously hope they get a book because Peter was the BEST Side character EVER!!! Him and his relentless teasing of Ryan by calling Brandy Baby cakes cracked me up.
Ethan’s book will be interesting to see what else they learn about their blood line from the past plus seeing Serena again will be a fun read.

It's so weird that I've not read any book about witches except Harry Potter, but the demons (HUGE fan of angels, nephilim, and demons) called to me, and I'm so glad I did read Cursed Love. It started out slow for a bit, but once it hit its stride, there was no putting it down to be honest. Brandy has turned 21, and weird things are starting to happen to her, but she never thought she was a witch. However the things happening to her have brought the tubars (low-level demons) & other crazy things that she never knew existed out to play which makes things complicated since she is just learning about everything. Luckily she just so happens to have someone watching over her, bachelor for life Ryan, and he even gets his best friend (a werewolf) Peter to help with everything. Of course, Ryan never saw his reaction to Brandy coming, and he certainly put up a fuss about it. However, the things revealed are shocking to him, with a side of a family curse added into the crazy. So yeah, I really enjoyed this story, and simply CANNOT WAIT for more, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It seems that objects are starting to move on their own, her sense of smell has heightened, and her fingers/skin have been tingling non-stop. Then one day the family grimoire arrives at her apartment and a family secret is revealed to her – she is a witch! Well that explains some things, but it will also open the doors for tubars (low-level demons), creatures, magical beings, catulus (a hellhound puppy) and things that go bump into the night to start showing themselves to her.
Thankfully she has had someone watching/stalking her- Ryan Palfrey, who also happens to be a witch. A certified bachelor to the end of time, that is until Brandy comes along. He also has his best friend Peter (werewolf) to lend a hand.
Ryan and Peter and now trying to help Brandy learn about her powers, how to use them while battling demons along the way. We also learn that there is a family curse and that Ryan and Brandy are destined to be mated.
Can this curse be destroyed? Or will it continue farther into the Broderick clan?

It's been awhile since I've last read a Paranormal book. Let alone one this good. Loved the characters and the family history. Can't wait to see what else is in store.

What a wild ride! This is a fantastic start to what I believe will be an incredible series! There are a lot of moving parts to this story and they were meticulously woven together to create a wonderful story. Brandy is the baby of the family, and the only girl. You can only imagine how overprotective her brothers are, haha! Right from the beginning, her life goes down in a chaotic and crazy tailspin. She feels like she is falling apart. Crazy things are happening to her and are now following her. She can’t for the life of her figure out why things are literally floating all around her. Then a knowledge bomb is dropped on her by the sexy stranger, Ryan. Slowly the story unfolds revealing enormous secrets full of magic...the good and the bad. During the story, Brandy and Ryan form an inseparable bond that the two of them struggle with figuring out. Then there is Peter, Ryan’s best friend. Peter is that goofy, being sarcastic at all the wrong, but right, times friend that you will always want to have your back. (I hope there are good things in store for him in the next books!) There is a constant struggle going on that makes you really connect with the characters in some very realistic ways. Their journey brings them in contact with many paranormals from witches and demons to hellhounds and werewolves. The good, the bad, and the ugly. There is great world building, relatable and lovable characters, lots of emotions, and some serious sexy time. This book has it all! The story is an incredible journey and an absolute must read.

So glad I was able to read this paranormal. Brandy is strong, sassy and strong willed. All of which she needs to handle what was just tossed at her.
Brandy just turned 21 and her world just tilted on its axis. She lost her boyfriend and learned everything that went bump in the night was indeed real. Strange Things were happening around her and weirdos were coming out of the woodwork. Thank goodness for a stranger that came to her rescue.
Ryan was closed off never wanting a mate but when he saw Brandy he was a goner. I loved Ryan and his bff Peter. After Ryan helped brandy that night a whole new family opened up to her. She already had 6 older protective brothers but it seems she gained another in Ryan’s bff Peter.
Can A family secret or should I say curse tear these two apart before they even get to know each other better. I will take the strength of an entire family blood or not to take on this curse.
I am so intrigued by the guys in this book from all her brothers to Peter and Xander. I cannot wait to see where this series goes. Alpha Peter needs a mate.

Brandy didn’t grow up knowing she was a witch. Heck, her powers came in when she turned 21 and boy, did they bring a lot with them. Not only was there a steep learning curve for her, but this new world she got thrown into was full of surprises, ups and downs. Her lack of control and understanding was stirring up some waves among this new world. Thankfully, she had the help of another sexy witch. Ryan didn’t just teach her to control her powers, but he helped her learn how to use them and protect herself. Unavoidably, things took a turn, and both Ryan and Brandy end up with one hell of a surprise.
Book 2 is set to follow a different couple and I am excited. I am sure Serena has one hell of a story! 4.5 stars!

Brandy lived a "normal" life until her twenty-first birthday then crazy things started happening around her. Then Ryan who has been keeping an eye on her tries to explain to Brandy about her being a witch and her powers. Cursed Love is book one and a great start to the Broderick Coven series. This is a well written story with well developed characters and an entertaining story filled with interesting twists that held my attention from the first page until the last. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This was a great beginning to a new series! Brandy was just an ordinary girl until her 21st birthday. Things started happening to her that she didn't understand. She then finds out that her special powers come from being a witch. Ryan with the help of his friend Peter are trying to help Brandy figure out how her powers work so she can break the family curse. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm not big on paranormal, but I gave Cursed Love a try because I love AJ's work. I feel in love with Brandy and Ryan from the beginning and continued to fall for the rest of the characters as I kept reading. This story will make you laugh out loud, fall in love, and keep you hooked. I'm excited for the next book! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good story...

Ryan was against love, marriage and children until he met Brandy. Brandy turned twenty-one and her entire life changed. She was unaware her parents were witches. She was the seventh child and had six older brothers. Ryan and Brandy have an unusual courtship. AJ Renee writes an unexpected and unusual romance. Can't wait to see how the Broderick coven proceeds!

Cursed Love is amazing. Brandy is a hard worker and is used to being the baby of the family and smoothed by her brothers. Until she finds out there is more to her than meets the eye. Ryan can't seem to stay away from this sassy witch even though he tries. Together can love break a curse that was made so long ago. Only time will tell. This has a great storyline and the characters are amazing. Brilliant!!!!

Oh. My. Goodness. I wasn’t sure where this book was going and I was, admittedly, nervous about the outcome of such a series. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the characters, the relationships, and the overall storyline in this first book. At the start, Brandy is dating a man who couldn’t even be bothered to show up for her twenty-first birthday with her family. Shortly after, strange things start happening that she tries to come up with a rational explanation for to no avail. Little did she know that everything changed for her just because she had a birthday. Ryan is a lone wolf (though not actually a wolf, if we’re being literal) and has no plans to change that for the remainder of his life. He has known about his family history and who he is since he was a child and has befriended Peter (the actual wolf) against the normal witch’s code. It is thanks to Ryan that Brandy didn’t get taken out during her first encounter with the supernatural world. It is also thanks to that incident that the two of them discover that there really is someone out there for everyone. Discovering a family grimoire, being trained in all things magic, and fighting her first big bad made this story IMPOSSIBLE to put down. Now I just want to read through the others to get more information about the rest of the fam! If you are even somewhat interested in this genre, pick this series up and curl up for some fantastic storytelling. AJ Renee is now on my MUST-READ list!

I loved this book!!! The author brings an action packed paranormal romance with a cast of strong characters , all centering on Brandy and her coming into her powers on her twenty first birthday along with her unexpected help from Ryan who turns out to be her mate and his best friend, Peter. She does a fantastic job developing the story and her characters and weaves an absolute page turner with all the action and adventure, the magic and new found friends, along with the hot chemistry and smokin hot scenes between Brandy and Ryan. I loved the involvement with the brothers and loved the ending!! I can't wait to read the next book!! It's well written with perfectly painted scenes, moves fluidly and is a terrific read!! Highly recommend reading!!

Paranormal romance. Brandy grew up not knowing she is s witch. Great story and storyline I'm looking fwd to next book. Loved all the relationship.

This was a very entertaining book about witches, werewolves, covens, packs, friends, enemies, and protecting your own. Imagine seven generations who suffer because one person gets jealous and one shows mercy. Imagine being magical and suddenly finding out on your 21st birthday. Imagine the bad side of the supernatural attacking you and yours. Then, read how these moving parts fit together in a story that is hard to put down and will keep you guessing till the end.
