About this app

As per TRAI's new regulation for the Television and Broadcasting Sector having come into force, Consumers have the freedom to select Television (TV) Channels they wish to watch.

TRAI envisions a scalable model in which consumers can securely communicate with the platforms managed by their DTH/Cable Operators. The Channel Selector application will facilitate customers to choose channels/bouquets of their interest among the offerings provided by their respective DTH/Cable Operators.

Channel Selector application will suggest an optimum configuration of bouquets based on channels desired by the subscriber so as to reduce total monthly bill.

Hence, the Channel Selector Application shall be a common app to support customers for fetching current subscriptions from their DTH/Cable operator, provide options of selection of channels/bouquets, optimize their channel selection, and set customer subscription of their choice on their DTH/Cable operator’s platform.

Some DTH/Cable operators who are yet to onboard are not available. As soon as these DTH/Cable operators are ready to integrate with the app shall be available.As of now Subscribers of Airtel, Asianet, Dish TV , D2H, DEN, GTPL, Hathway, InDigital, KCCL, Siti, Sun Direct, Tata Sky & TCCL shall be able to use this App.

Due to compatibility concerns, the users having Android version 7.0 onwards shall only be able to download and use Channel Selector App. The app is not compatible on devices having Android version 6.0 and later.

Min FREE RAM required to run the application: 1 GB,Recommended RAM : min 4GB.

Splendid! And , first of all, thanks for bringing transparency between customer and provider. However, it would require some improvements in few places. And, I am getting 'cable provider unavailable' while trying to explore on app. I could understand as this app released just few days ago. No need to panic/worry.Since No product is 100% defect free. I am sure and hope,all these will surely addressed in upcoming version. Congrats Team once again. Good achievement. Be proud.Keep it up.

Update: Problem not yet solved, app doesn't runs now. Wastage of time. Best App! Thank you. But a problem. After successful selection and deselection of some Channels in this App. Suddenly a message started appearing in my App that "We are facing some trouble in connecting with your cable operator "904". When I tried the app at my wife's mobile phone for the same Cable connection with the same credentials it worked. May be the IP of my mobile is blocked by the cable service provider

I am trying to optimize the channels list but the app is not working properly. After selecting the channels, it is not allowing to submit and giving the error message: "We are facing some technical issues with "sun direct", at the moment. Please try again after some time. [916]" Channel selection is not possible through this app which was confirmed by SUN Direct customer care today morning when I spoke to them. This is just waste of time using this app. Grow and come up with the standard quality
