Kyle, donation attendant, at our Medina store, thrives in the fast-paced work environment. He has worked especially hard over the last few weeks as we’ve reopened our stores and received many great treasures from donors! In 2017 Kyle was a high school student that came to us as a referral from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities looking to gain employment skills through our Work Experience program. He learned many tasks in our Medina retail store setting for the next two years with one of his goals being to stay focused on the task at hand.
Over the course of 2019, Kyle worked at three different jobs to find a good fit. In addition to Goodwill, he was placed at a local food manufacturing company and worked as a janitor both for a few hours a week. He accepted the donation attendant position at Goodwill this past spring where he chooses to work today. His dedication and drive have impressed all.
This year, Kyle graduated high school and is gaining independence and moving out on his own. He is becoming a responsible adult and Goodwill is proud of how much he has accomplished!
“I like being part of the Medina team and enjoy that being a donation attendant keeps me busy!” said Kyle.
Kyle’s manager said he is passionate about his work and helping others. Goodwill is lucky to have dedicated employees like Kyle on its team. Thank you for your work Kyle!
