Executive Update Q1 2023
The community has a lot of questions about how things are going in Ultra’s development, and how close or far we are from releasing everything that we’ve been working on to the public. Let’s go through those one by one.
Executive Update from Agora
This week on Ultra Chill, we invited the CEO of Agora, Pierre de Viry to come on to the show. We talked about the details of their upcoming NFT drop on both Ultra and Ethereum. He also explained what products Agora has been building and gave an update on the progress of their DEX.
Let's get to it.

NFT Data Abstraction
This week we have Joshua Owens from Byzantion.xyz to talk about what NFT data abstraction is and how it can potentially benefit developers.
How Do You Launch a New Web3 Project?
We get lots of questions from people eager to launch on Ultra.io. Many of these people are talented game designers, NFT community members, and others who have specific skills but haven't run the gauntlet of a new web3 project yet. We brought on Tony Drummond from Moonbound Consulting to answer some quick questions about what he thinks are the most important things to focus on when starting a new web3 project.
Let's get to it.
What Has Both Utility and Bubbles?
We brought on Holger Mannweiler from Metabrewsociety to talk to us about their NFT project which rewards holders with custom brewed beer! We went over what makes for good utility in an NFT project and how to use the wisdom of the crowd to create the best brand possible.

Social Gaming Secrets
Bithotel has chosen Ultra to distribute through. To get a better idea about what they are building and why we had Leon Lenan, their COO, on to the show. Together we discussed social gaming, which communities to target, their upcoming games, and why projects like theirs roll their own marketplaces.
Let’s get to it.
Many Games, Same Universe
Aether Games will be distributing their multi-game franchise on Ultra, so we brought Jens Peeters, their CEO, on to talk about how you build a multiverse, where real value for gamers lies, and how to set pricing on NFTS.
Let's get to it.
Executive Update Q4 2022
It’s been a mad minute since we had David and Nicolas on the show to give us an update about how things are progressing at Ultra. Since last time we launched our Uniq Marketplace, are prepping wave3 and the launch of Ultra Games, and are starting to on-board developers into our ecosystem.
Even with all the market madness, it’s an exciting time at Ultra! I know you guys are keen to hear from the execs, but I also wanted to give you an opportunity to engage with them directly.
Add a comment below and ask YOUR QUESTIONS which you’d like to get answers to. We’ll try to cover as many of them as we reasonably can.
Let’s get to it.
Blockchain's Magical Data Layer
So now we have a lot of data about NFTs and about the huge market of users and apps that actively uses them.
How do we get to that data sensibly? How do we gain insights from that data that we can use?
How do we make it easier for devs new to the space to use that data and build with it?
Today we’re talking with Alex from Blokness and we’ll have him answer these questions and much more.
Just a quick note that Blokness are running a hackathon with our good friends at Polkastarter and the link to that is down below in the description.
You should take a look: https://hackathon.polkastarter.com/
But now, on with the show.
The real problem with esports?
Being able to play a game online and win real money is a dream that literally every kid has. For a very select few who become professional players, it becomes a reality. The thing is that this disparity between the absolute best players and everyone else is based around a legacy technical setup that needs to be democratized and replaced by something more fair. If we want esports to be big (and we do!) that means MORE players winning MORE prizes. Our upcoming tournament platform is really about that. Today we have with us Louis Regis from Xborg to get his take on esports, on-chain data, and how transparency changes everything. Let’s get to it.
The E.V.I.L. Network and Earn2Earn Gaming
At Ultra we believe that it’s critical that we keep an eye on our competition and ensure that we understand the market that we’re building in.
To that end, we’ve decided today that we’re going to bring on one of those up and coming competitors and pick their brain about what they’ve been building and why. We’ll focus on the potential of the market, and how that translates into feature sets which benefit developers and users alike.
It’s going to be a spoooooky episode, so let’s get to it.
(Happy #Halloween from Ultra!)
Blockchain Adoption Benefits
There seems to be little doubt at this point that blockchain technology is part of our society’s wider technological future. The questions then are: how are we going to use it, how is it going to benefit us, and what is adoption going to look like? Today we have with us Nicolas Moore from utility.ai to help try and answer those questions. We dive deep into NFT utility and how it creates deeper user engagement, how we drive adoption, and how it all starts with providing developers the right tooling to make it all happen.
Let’s get to it.

The Magic of NFT Card Games
When we have a new partnership to announce, like we do with Kardomance, I like to bring them on the show and talk about the intricacies of designing and building their game. This time we did that, but we also dived deep into how the connection between a game’s developers and its community drives it forward in the right direction. We also covered how NFTs and blockchain technology enable gamers to empower themselves.

Esports Tournaments +Web3 Tech with Marcus Howard | Ultra Chill S3E4
With esports, what used to be small, arcade-focused events have evolved over the decades into a huge industry with prizes ranging up into the tens of millions. But, is this what gamers are actually looking for? Today, we have with us Howard Marcus to talk about the esports industry, it’s past and future, and how web3 technology could be an integral part of that.
The future of gaming is about all of us, and primarily happens through you, the gaming audience. So, a quick reminder that every like, comment, rating, or share helps us grow this show and through it the people we can reach to spread the word about what we’re trying to achieve at Ultra.

Developing Analytical Economies with Bronwyn Williams | Ultra Chill S3E3
We at Ultra believe that there should be a better way to be entertained. This goes for everything from how you explore and play games, to how you use digital assets like items in those games. It encompasses how communities are built and managed, and includes how we play together in things like tournaments or on streaming platforms. Gaming is a big part of our lives today and we think a better, more holistic approach needs to be built from the ground up to enable that future.
Because of how wide this vision is, we’ve started expanding who we talk to on Ultra Chill so that our audience (that’s you!) can get a wider lens on what is potentially possible, and where new innovations are likely to impact how people play. These aren’t all going to be partners or directly working with Ultra, but we think that their ideas and expertise are all relevant and interesting.
Our first guest of this type is Bronwyn Williams. We covered deeply interesting things like economics in gaming, dev analytics tools and their effects, and how PlayAndEarn differs from Play2Earn.

GameFi on Agora | Ultra Chill S2E18
We don’t think that there will be many announcements that Ultra makes which will be so fundamentally consequential for the future of the platform as the one that we made with Agora.
Agora is a partnership between SwissBorg, XBorg, and Ultra that paves the way forward for decentralized finance on our platform. In effect, it ensures that liquidity within the many economies that blockchain based platforms create are all interconnected.

For the problems that were encountered, our support and triage teams identified and fixed them without issue.

The Uniq Marketplace Strategy | Ultra Chill S2E13
Software is a difficult, winding path that turns a vision into an implementation. It’s often compared to building a train and its tracks while rushing forward at the speed of sound. I’ve found this to be the case in most startups and open-source software projects. It is certainly the case at Ultra, as we persevere towards our goal of building the future of gaming.
I think that we should talk about how building a suite of products is not the same as building one product. Because, that’s what Ultra really is: a suite of tools and interfaces that enables people to do things that have never been possible before.
A big part of that suite is the Uniq Marketplace that we’ve put so much effort into over the past two milestones.

Executive Priorities | Ultra Chill S2E12
Ultra has been building for a long time, and we’ve accomplished a lot.
We’ve launched multiple blockchain networks (countless Testnets, one awesome Mainnet) that have innovative new features that we think will allow mainstream gaming audiences to take advantage of all the best stuff that blockchains have to offer, without the pitfalls inherent in them. But, sometimes when building hard things, internal progress and public expectations don’t match up.
