A few snow/rain showers will linger for Friday evening, especially farther east, as low pressure continues to weaken across the region.

But we're starting our slightly warming trend into the weekend with highs reaching the middle and upper 50s. Otherwise, this will be a good weekend to enjoy some sunshine after a very gloomy/snowy week.

The heavy snow over the past few days has really helped increase our snowpack during this ongoing Miracle March. Snowpack numbers had continued to slip after a very dry February and overall winter season. A look at the sub-basins across the Sierra has shown a noticeable increase in not only snow but snow water equivalent as well.
