Tragic and epic love with all the feels!

This book had a great story and so much emotion. I was literally crying a few times. Because these two love each other so much, but their dreams keep getting in the way of their relationship. In book two when they were at Vanier college for the performing arts, and collaborating on the music for the Fall Showcase, I thought their dreams would align. It looked they would both end up famous together as some sort of duo, writing music and singing together. But nothing in life is so simple.

Then just when it looked like Tyler was getting his dream, we see him bleeding out on the street after they are mugged. Of course we know he isn’t going to die at the beginning of this book because he is a main character. However, we couldn’t imagine the fact that he would be damaged and would fall into a depression that would tear them apart again. Annie seems to always be the one to give up what she wants in order to do what is best for Tyler.

It isn’t like Tyler asks for it, she just tends to do things like that without his knowledge. The thing that happened in this book was similar to what she did when it looked like the fact that she was Jax Jamieson’s daughter might take the spotlight away from Tyler in the showcase. So she puts Tyler in front of what she wants again and does what is best for him.

Their dreams are at odds with each other and it is hard to say what anyone would do in that situation. Especially for people in the performing arts, because if you want to follow your dreams, it means going where you have to for the work and also taking advantage of opportunities when they come. Because if you don’t it might mean that you never get another. Tyler’s dream is to a musician and singer while Annie’s dream is to write and perform in Musicals on Broadway.

The two meet up again in Denver at a party Jax throws when he opens a new record label and the meeting is bittersweet. Since we know that the feelings are still there, but so are their dreams. His is in LA and on the road, while hers is in New York. But they can’t resist each other.

The book is every bit as good as the previous books and there is quite a bit more steam between the two main characters. Annie and Tyler have known each other since they were kids and have such a bond that it is almost painful to read. I loved every minute of it.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This series has been such an incredible journey. Piper Lawson really knows how to dish out the feels.

I really connected with the author's writing style. It felt like she wrote this story for me. The narration was smooth and inviting. I felt that the beginning of the story was a little rushed. This book picks up where the second one leaves off. The flow just felt a little disjointed where time was concerned. The rest of the book flowed perfectly though. The story has a very satisfying plot that kept me captivated.

These characters really embedded in my heart. I became so attached to them. Annie and Tyler were so relatable and likable. I felt a deep connection to them. They both had such excellent character growth in this book. I really loved that they were so multi-faceted and complex. I loved the secondary characters and how much depth they added to the story.

Annie and Tyler have a love that makes your chest ache. Friends from childhood that grow to mean so much more to each other. They have both been through so much in this series and the reader can't help but root for them. Annie and Tyler had undeniable chemistry. They just felt right together.

Overall, this is an emotional and heartwarming story about first love. This series has memorable characters, a heart-wrenching plot that digs in deep, and a romance that you can't help but root for. I am so excited for what comes next from this author!

This book is finally their happy ending, even though there's still a 4th book in the series, this one closes pretty much all the ordeal and the years of "not the right moment" for them.

I liked their story since the beginning, but I felt like this one disappointed me a little along their journey.
The way things ended in the 2nd book, I honestly didn't expected another break up between them, nor one that would last almost 3 years, with her dating another guy in this period.
I think those times apart just diminish the credibility of their love story.

I do love that they both followed their own dreams, I just wish that they had prioritized each other the way they did at the end.

I'll definitely read the last book, about their wedding, cause at this point, I'm too invested! 😂😂

I’ve been waiting for Tyler and Annie’s conclusion for what feels like forever and this one took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride. Their relationship hasn’t been easy from the start and timing has never been on their side, but will they be able to make it work one final time?

This book picks up right where book two ended, but just when you think things are going well for Tyler and Annie their relationship takes a 180 degree turn. Annie has to make a decision that is heartbreaking, but the best decision for both Tyler and herself at the time. Seriously, my heart dropped at this point.

A Love Song for Dreamers was an emotional ride, just like the two previous books. However, this one gutted me at times, but it also mended my heart that was previously broken by the ups and downs of Tyler and Annie’s relationship.

The growth of both Tyler and Annie from the beginning is beautiful. Tyler was lost and angry and as the years have gone by he slowly started to find himself and find where he belonged. Annie found herself, too. She went for her dream and she worked hard for everything she had.

This was a great conclusion to Annie and Tyler’s story and the entire series is a binge worthy MUST READ!

From slightly off key to perfectly in tune. I just can't get enough. Tyler and Annie strike all the right chords to reek havoc with the heart. Lawson goes into overdrive when it comes to stirring up emotions. After the Wicked series, my heart felt like it might never recover. It recovered just in time to be broken again by a couple bittersweet Rivals determined to run away with a piece of my soul.

Talk about a freaking emotional roller coaster! This one reached into my chest and squeezed. I have loved these characters from the very beginning and couldn’t be happier with this final instalment of their story.

I genuinely LOLd, I swooned, I cried and I might have also raged at the author via messenger. She certainly knows how to make is work for our happy ending.

It’s packed with beautifully flawed character who are true to themselves and we get to watch them grow up across the series and I will miss them now we’re done. Absolutely loved it!

A Love Song for Dreamers is the third and last book in the Rivals series. Annie and Tyler have come a long, long way since high school and after that cliffhanger at the end of the second book, that almost killed me, I was counting the days until I could read the final book in their journey. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it.
There is a lot going on in this book, Annie and Tyler are dealing with the aftermath of the event that happened in the end of the second book. It's painful, it's very emotional and both of them are struggling in very different ways with their own feelings. Their lives irrevocably changed and they can't go back to what things were. So, where does that leaves Tyler's future and their relationship? I can't say much about how the story progressed but I can say that I really loved this book. I wasn't expecting to love this series so much.
In my opinion this is not a typical rockstar romance. It's not about shows or fans or jealousy or drama for the sake of drama, it's about following your dreams even though sometimes you might have to let someone you love go, it's about talent and hard work and realizing along the way your dreams may shift, it's about true love for music, songwriting, performing, acting, etc. It's about putting yourself out there even though sometimes it feels like nobody believes in you, not even yourself. I really loved the fact that this series is so different from what we usually get in rockstar romances.
The characters are the real stars of this book, Tyler and Annie are flawed and truly amazing and their character growth is so well done. Their relationship isn't perfect but the powerful love they have for each other really shines through their story and their chemistry is breathtaking. I was worried when it seemed like their relationship was going on a different direction, I kept thinking these characters deserved so much more, in fact they deserved everything, but I was SO pleasantly surprised when the author proved me wrong and wrapped everything beautifully. I'm so happy with the final events of their story and how much sense everything made.
There was a detail that made me adjust my rating: the time jump. I think it should have been inserted a little later in the story, I wanted a little more before the gap but like I said it's just a detail.
I'm sad to say goodbye to Tyler and Annie, I highly recommend this series and I'm wishing for Harry's story and hoping to get a little more time with Tyler and Annie as supporting characters.

Just WOW. I have loved these two since their first scene sat on the sofa in the hotel apartment when Jax walked in and sent Tyler packing in Wicked. I so wasn't ready for this to end and what an ending. My heart broke for their years apart but how they grew and became so much more had me in tears. I love, love, love this couple and would read so much more if it was written.

Thank you Piper for giving me this little world to live in for a little while ❤️

Book 3 and the final book in the Rivals trilogy and I loved it. It was a great way to end the series. Once I picked this book up, I couldn’t put it down. I loved Annie and Tyler so much. They had so much happened between them but they were able to find their way back to each other and it was an awesome ride. This story will take you on an emotional ride so be prepared to laugh with, swoon, cry and be angry at the characters. So sad to see them go but this story will stay with me for a long time.

I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

3.5-4 ⭐'s

After the doozy of what happened in the last book, Annie is trying to be as supportive as she can be. Everyone is rallying around but Tyler's in a dark place as he should be.

The next part made me pull my hair out...ugh! You know I loved all the angst but I was over all the back and forth.

Thankfully, events move forward and there is some hope...or is there? Buckle up because it IS a bumpy ride!

Whew. This series has taken it out of me. Tyler & Annie are a mess of chaotic perfection.

This, of course, picks up right where book 2 left us & takes off at a sprint.
I’m not going to say much here, other than I was super pleased with the outcome all the way around.
I think everyone knows that I wasn’t super thrilled with Jax. Not that I couldn’t see his side of things, but I didn’t like it anyways.
However, wrongs are righted and this world keeps on spinning.

If you enjoy angsty rockstar romances, and characters that are flawed in the best ways, this series is for you.

This is it. The final chapter of Annie and Tyler. They have both come a long way from teenagers to young adults.
Watching their teenage love story fully bloom into an adult romance has truly been an amazing journey.
No matter what happened or came between them, they were always able to find a way back to each other, which is what you see in this story. Especially during the time jump.
You get to see the struggles of the hardships they face pushing them away from each other to fulfill their dreams. Only for fate to intervene and try to push them back together again, all while still trying to achieve their dreams. And though they want to be together, they know with their dreams it isn’t possible. Which is why they try hard to avoid their feelings when with each other.
Even after time pushes them away, when they’re reunited, the chemistry between them is still there regardless. Like the depths of hell, it’s so freakin’ burning hot that it feels like it’s gonna cause you to spontaneously combust. Seriously Holy hell if the heat from the weather wasn’t going to kill me, then Tyler and Annie and their love would.

Honestly I don’t really know what else to say. Other than the fact that Annie and Tyler embedded themselves into my heart from the get go. And seeing their friendship grow into love made me feel so much and more. Their story touched me and will always have a special place in my heart. It honestly felt like I was watching my best friends. Seeing them grow before my very eyes and just knowing that I got to watch them grow from teenagers into young adults, while trying to navigate their friendship into a love story was beautiful. As if watching a seed grow, only to blossom into a beautiful fully bloomed red rose.

Their story had it all when it came to the emotions and feelings. From the get go I was crying tears of sadness, freaking out, screaming internally (reading it at midnight), sad, mad, happy, hyperventilating, getting goosebumps, tears of joy, feeling hot (the heat between A&T), blushing etc. Just a whirlwind rollercoaster of emotions woven into each other leading us to another great love story. And I just could not get enough.
It goes to show that what they have is true love and they’re each others soul mates. So matter what happened between them, they would always find their way back to each other.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

This is the love story of Annie and Tyler. Their love journey started in the prequel ‘Love notes’ and it ends here in ‘A love song for dreamers’ (the third and last book in the ‘Rivals’ trilogy).

Wow! Let me start by saying that I LOVED this book!! The writer Piper Lawson definitely kept the best for the last book. ‘A love song for dreamers’ is my favourite of the three books! There was a second in the beginning of the story that I was a bit worried about the direction that the story would take but that only lasted a second and in the end I totally agreed with the way that the story went and the decision that the writer took in the beginning of the book. Annie and Tyler indeed needed time to mature a bit more and to discover for themselves what was really important in their lives.

During the years, Tyler and Annie had to overcome a lot to follow their dreams but if there were two things that never changed during their whole journey it was their love for music and for each other. Although the first one was very obvious from the very beginning, the second one grew and became more obvious with time (and with each story). Now, in this last story, there was no doubt or question that they loved each other very much. And although their circumstances weren’t ideal for a relationship or love, this time they were mature enough to give it a real chance and I loved that very, very much!

In my previous reviews of the other books in the ‘Rivals’ trilogy, I also talked about Annie’s father Jaxx and how disappointed I was with his reaction and attitude towards Annie but to my delight here in this last story, the writer made me change my mind about him. And she did it in a realistic, natural way. Not by magic but allowing time and conversations to change feelings and attitudes. I’m so happy with that.

For me ‘A love song for dreamers’ was the perfect end to Annie and Tyler’s romance.

🎧🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧🎧

PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 5 STARS

Rose Dioro and Teddy Hamilton performed spectacularly once again! I adored Rose’s interpretation of Annie the most. Obviously, Teddy did an excellent job with Tyler but there’s something about how Rose read Annie that matched the picture I had in my head of her, and it just made her that much more real! WELL DONE!

STORY REVIEW & RATING: 3 STARS

Annie and Tyler’s story is one giant one step forward, two steps back! This dance continued waaaaay into the narrative of Love Song for Dreamers and that’s where my love for this story started to fall apart. I was all in from the first word in this series/trilogy but I can only take so much conflict before I start to not want to read any longer. That didn’t exactly happen here because I truly love Annie & Tyler both, but the choices the author made for their last leg of this journey had me #twitchy too many times.

I didn’t expect this entire leg of their journey to be all happy and simple, as a matter of fact, I expect a whole lot of conflict because of Tyler’s injury. And we did get that, only we didn’t get it with them together. Growth happened as it does in life and change happened as it does as life moves forward but it happened to Tyler and Annie as individuals while they were apart, again! You see my frustration? So I lost a bit of love for the actual plot but never them :) And that was the saving grace for me. That’s what kept me listening and I am super glad that I did because when the planets finally aligned, it was beautiful!

Damn you guys! There aren’t really many words for this one it was an amazing ride piper Lawson has a way of breaking your heart and then fixing it in the same sentence. This is the perfect conclusion for Tyler and Annie, this one picks up in the days and weeks after that shocking cliffhanger from book two. It’s emotional it’s full of these two people realising things that they haven’t in the past and it’s sooo gripping I lost sleep finishing it 🙈 it’s great to have and achieve your dreams but it’s even better when you take those dreams and achieve them with the ones you love around you. I’m so glad that a couple of the characters that were struggling to get along fix their issues with each other. I’m sad to be leaving the wicked world for now but 🤞🤞 we will be back with Becks story or the mystery guy from the ends story.

Perfect conclusion to this trilogy!!! This picks up right where book 2 ends and it will break your hurt to read Tyler’s pain and struggle and seeing Annie do what she doesn’t want to but feels she needs to for the both of them. These two are so in love but there dreams and what they think is needed keeps getting in the way no matter how hard they try. I absolutely loved Annie and Tyler and this trilogy

I’m not crying... you are CRYING!!!
Pfft, let’s face it.... I’m bawling! I LOVE TYLER AND ANNIE SO MUCH!!! And now I’m absolutely devastated that it’s all over!
Just like the first two books, A Love Song for Dreamers was amazing! Piper has absolutely smashed it out of the ball park with this series. It’s one of my favorites! Just Phenomenal!
It had is moments where it absolutely tore yours heart to shreds but Tyler and Annie were the definition of true love.
I laughed, I cried, I got angry but most importantly, I fell in love with not just this story but every single character!
Tyler is a dream! Gahhh that man is divine!!!! I love him!
The book hangover is real with this one people!!!
I have my fingers and toes crossed for more of Tyler and Annie. An extended epilogue maybe?!?!

Fabulous! The only downside is that the story is now finished. I still want more! I could not put this book down.

Annie and Tyler have been in and out of each other's lives so many times. Both finding themselves and how much they want to be together but also how they can't be. They are both fighting for their own craft which cannot work for them being together.

Lots of highs and lows in this book, my heart literally squeezed a few times because just when it looks like everything is going to work, off the story goes in a different direction again.

The beginning of A Love Song for Dreamers is brutal, and it finds Annie and Tyler eventually separating, AGAIN. And it looks as if these two have dreams and paths that are not to intersect anymore. And honestly, I was a bit upset, even though I knew that could not possibly be their end. Thank God I was right. But their journey from the beginning clear to the last page of the sweet epilogue, was a serious roller coaster of high highs, low lows, and everything in between.

I love how much the two of them grew and developed and matured from the slightly obnoxious teens they were in A Love Song for Liars, to the wiser, experienced adults they are here in their conclusion. This series has ridden the gamut of emotions - pain, betrayal, angst, heartbreak, happiness, and of course, so much love, and I've enjoyed the hell out of it. I wish there were more coming for these two, and I'm gonna miss them!

This review is for all 5 books.

4 stars across the board…except for “A Love Song For Dreamers” which I gave 5 stars!

This series was amazing! The character development was extraordinary! Piper Lawson gave us a beautiful love story starting with the prequel Love Notes where Annie and Tyler are reintroduced to her reads again after being mentioned in the Wicked series.

Rivals Series will Capture your Heart while taking you on Annie and Tyler Love journey.

What I enjoyed the most was seeing Annie and Tyler mature throughout the series. We get to witness all there first…
first kiss, first love, their first struggles with understand and dealing with what they’re feeling for one another, and as the series continues you get to see and feel every obstacles and emotions that Annie and Tyler go through with not only making there dreams come true, but how they react together every time they reconnected again. They have this unconditional love for each other, a Love that makes them feel as their souls are one.
This series is full of angst, heartache, love and so much more. It’s hard not to fall in love with these two characters and not root for their HEA.

I truly enjoyed every book in the Rivals series…,but I will have to say though, A Love Song For Dreamers was my favorite book, just because it was full of passion, forgiveness and had the most character development.

I would definitely recommend reading the Rivals Series 💞

Tyler Adams and Annie Jamieson’s story continues directly on from where book two, A Love Song For Rebels, left off and the high adrenaline situation gets your heart racing once again. In this final book, there isn’t a dull moment to be found as this fast-paced story keeps you thoroughly entertained.

The whole series, but especially this story, has some deeper issues that come to fruition for many of the characters, not just for Tyler and Annie. The ups and downs of their relationship though continue but I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving too many bits away. Balancing the more serious side is the fun banter between the characters to lighten things.

The descriptive language clearly paints pictures of each scene so that you, the reader, feel more like a participant than an observer. You definitely feel like you’re a part of their world, as though you could reach out and hug them or shake them. when they need it; fortunately, the latter wasn’t too often. 😂. So yes, it is an emotional ride just like the first two books but worth every twist and loop.

The chemistry between Tyler and Annie is still as strong as ever and perhaps being older they really heat up the sheets in this book. Annie in particular, being just over twenty-one, shows she has grown up a lot but so has Tyler. Meanwhile, Jax?? He is still a work in progress. 😆

A fabulous trilogy I recommend to everyone who likes to escape with a terrific romance.

I've been very vocal about my love for this series, but I do believe that this is the BEST book yet. Tyler and Annie have such a special, beautiful love, but their timing is constantly against them.

This book picks up right where we left off with Tyler bleeding out on the sidewalk, and even though I anticipated what would happen, it's no less heartbreaking. Tyler falls into a pit of depression that not even Annie can pull him out of.. So she once again sacrifices her own heart to save him. Two years pass before they see each other again, and they are both very different people than who they used to be. They face new struggles, but will this be the time where they finally get their happy ever after? Or are they always meant to be almost lovers?

Piper not only packed on the feels, but the steam as well! I loved how Annie and Jax mended their relationship (even if I never really forgave him for all he said/did) and I just loved how Annie evolved into this confident, kick ass woman. She perused her own dreams and is taking the entertainment industry by a storm, but there's a Tyler-shaped hole missing from her life.

And Tyler? Man that boy has my heart. He's changed so much from the angry boy who wanted to stick it to his father, and finally has the opportunity to make things right with the only woman he's ever loved. I truly adored how vulnerable he was when it came to his love for Annie, and how he fought to prove that she was his dream all along. These two are just so perfect for each other!!

I'm not ready to move on from these truly wonderful characters, but just know that Piper really out her all in this trilogy!! These books are definitely a must read!

Finally - I have been anticipating this final book in the Rivals trilogy for what seems to be way too long. I am not a patient person. That said, it was definitely worth the wait. Tyler and Annie seem to have had such bad luck when it comes to timing, every time their happy ever after came within their grasp, fate seemed to deal them a joker. Years have now passed them by, and this time around they’re more mature and more focussed on their own happiness. Things appear to be working out for them as individuals, the question is, can they ever make it together? As in the previous two books in the series, I was hooked, and completely invested in their story. I loved that Jaxson wasn’t quite the stubborn pigheaded dad he was portrayed to be in the previous two books, and how as a family they all finally seem to be pulling together for the greater good. Wonderful story, perfect words and characters that make you believe. I was hooked and completely overwhelmed, and I can truly recommend this trilogy to fans of rockstar romance, who enjoy a little angst on the side. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This recently updated edition of the Rivals trilogy not only has an amazing discreet cover but has all three books- A Love Song For Liars, A Long Song for Rebels and A Love Song for Dreamers- within one. Separated by three parts, it is easy to follow along with the audiobooks, which are available to listen to as stand alones (and on Scribd).

As a whole, this book is an angsty new adult romance that follows the love story of Tyler and Annie from high school, to college and then to when they are successful adults. I was routing for the two every step of the way and loved the progression of their relationship, even when the timing wasn’t right but all the pining was there. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and keeping me engaged throughout! Seriously it is impossible to go wrong with Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro.

What to expect:
-New adult romance
-Coming of age
-Rockstar hero
-Forbidden love
-Friends to lovers
-Bad boy good girl
-Forced proximity
-Columbia University setting
-Strong character development

If you are like me, you have been anticipating the release of this book since the very beginning of the series and y'all, it was EPIC! Needless to say, this entire series has taken me on an emotional roller coaster, there were laughs, there were tears, and there were sighs of contentment. Annie and Tyler have not had it easy, but their connection is STRONG, and this is the conclusion that readers will absolutely love.

All in all, this series is beautiful and A Love Song for Dreamers just hits it right on out of the park. It shows that things will work out the way that they should, even though it make take YEARS- it is possible. I cannot recommend this book enough, Piper Lawson truly did a wonderful job- 5 HUGE stars!

PS: Thank you to Piper Lawson and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

I couldn't wait to find out what happened next after the shocking ending of the last book, and the consequences were more far-reaching than I expected. This author thinks things through in a way that I don't, and it often surprises me but also makes total sense as I'm reading it. It's very true to life that things don't just work out once the crisis is over. I like that she didn't sugarcoat Tyler's feelings. They were very natural and understandable. A lot of authors use misunderstandings to create drama and keep characters apart. Piper Lawson uses real life scenarios, and that's why her stories ring true. Her couples struggle with real problems and have to make tough choices, but that's also why it feels real when they do get to be happy.

Annie and Tyler have definitely left high school far behind in this book. They are now true adults who make their own decisions. This book is also steamier than the previous ones, because they know what they want in the bedroom too. There is no longer anything boyish about Tyler. He is all man!

I don't really think of this as the conclusion to their story, because I can clearly picture them living their lives like it's truly happening in the present. When I can imagine the characters living out there in the real world, then the author has succeeded in making them real to me, and that's the best kind of reading experience.

A wonderfully written conclusion for Annie and Tyler. This book picks up right where book two ends with a tragedy that hits the couple. These two have been hit and miss since High School, and we are back at it again. It just never really seems to be "their" time. I love how mature Annie has become in realizing that if they don't each follow their dreams they will resent each other in the long run.

Annie builds her life without her father's help to prove to him that she can do it, and survive in the industry that chews up so many people and spits them out. Tyler goes on to live his life on tour, but never truly forgets that girl who fully believed in him.

There are time jumps that have them meeting up with each other at different times. We get to see what they were able to accomplish separated from each other, but never far from each of their thoughts. Annie's step mom brings the whole family together again that sets off the series of events that brings Annie back to her dad, Tyler and Annie back in the same room, and Tyler back to Annie's dad. What happens after is pure magic in every way! This is the first full series I have read of Piper Lawson, and it will not be my last!

This is book three of Tyler and Annie's story and you must read all these books and in order. Also, if you want to see more of their younger selves and to learn more about Jax and Haley I recommend that you read The Wicked series. Man these two really make your heart ache. You had to feel for these two as their romance blossoms, blooms and struggles to survive over the course of this series. Love is never the issue but everything else certainly is. Painful baggage, family drama, tragedy, dreams and desires all serve as a multitude of stumbling blocks for this pair to overcome on their angst ridden journey. I loved both these characters so much. In the good times you rejoice with them and in the bad times you want to hold their hand and give them a shoulder to cry on. Tyler was simply amazing! My heart bled for him again and again. While I admired Annie's desire to chase her dreams, I also admit to feeling a certain amount of frustration with her. A few of her actions and decisions rubbed me the wrong way but I think that has more to do with my own personal experiences and with my being on the outside looking in perspective. As a whole though this is a book/series that tells a beautiful and poignant tale of an enduring love that will leave you swooning. This is my sincere review that I am posting of my own accord.
