Copyright © 2021 Albuquerque Journal Detectives released the names of two men slain in separate incidents in Albuquerque on Saturday. Gilbert Gallegos, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said the deaths of Trevonte Robbins, 19, and Adam Porras, 33, are being investigated as homicides. No arrests have been made in either case. Officers responded around 5 p.m. to a shooting at Las Brisas Apartments, near Gibson and San Pedro SE. Police found Porras shot and he later died at a hospital. Hours earlier, around 2:30 a.m., officers were responding to a gunshot detection device near Fourth and Central when Robbins, another man and a police vehicle were struck by gunfire. Robbins died at the scene, another man was hospitalized in critical condition and an officer received minor injuries when a bullet hit his windshield, spraying him with glass. "We're having a hard time dealing with it," Judy Robbins, Robbins' grandmother, said Tuesday. She said her granddaughter called Saturday "hollering and crying" and saying Robbins had been shot. "I said, 'Is he OK?,' And she said, 'No grandma, he died,' " she said, choking up. Robbins said her grandson – who was raised in Albuquerque – was visiting from Georgia and out with friends Downtown when he was struck by a stray bullet. “I said ‘is he OK?,’ And she said, ‘no grandma, he died,’” she said, choking up.
