New songs from your favorite artists come out all the time -- and we preview them down below!
On Aug. 5, The Interrupters released In the Wild, the latest studio album from the ska/punk outfit that rocketed to success in 2018 with “She’s Kerosene,” a hit single that helped the album Fight the Good Fight crack the Billboard 200.
From start to finish, In the Wild from The Interrupters is a record of vibrant energy, tales of survival and resilience set to high-energy anthems primed for singalongs — and the mosh pit — alike.
An official description states that ” … the record took shape in an unforced and organic fashion, and the recording process was evidently a fun one, which is reflected in the sound of the album, gliding across a spectrum of breathless punk rock, doo-wop, gospel, dancehall, and the band’s customary nods to the lineage of two-tone.”
Reflective of the momentum the Interrupters have built over the past few years, the release of In the Wild has been met with strong results thus far:
🤯🤯🤯 Just found out our album went NUMBER ONE this week on 3 different @billboard charts and TOP TEN on 9 other ones… and all we can say is THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! We are overwhelmed with gratitude and we truly love and appreciate each and every one of you ❤️🙏✨

Listening to the record, it’s to understand why the group, fronted by the compelling Aimee Allen (or Aimee Interrupter, if you will), has struck a nerve with ska/punk fans. Hers is a story of resilience, and she channels those experiences into thoughtful songs that are as catchy and memorable as they are meaningful.

“Sometimes when you’re low/You gotta kiss the ground,” sings Aimee on “Kiss the Ground,” an uplifting, reggae-tinged album highlight about how to use love and light to find our way out of the darkness:
The Interrupters lit the match with “She’s Kerosene,” and that flame is burning as brightly as ever with In the Wild. The band has already shown an ability to break through to the mainstream with its brand of genre-hopping alt/punk rooted in ska/two-tone, and the new material should only push that profile higher.
