Old convictions automatically erased for 1 million Michiganders under ‘clean slate’ law

The convictions of an anticipated 1 million Michigan residents will be automatically expunged thanks to a 2020 law that went into effect Tuesday, April 11.

By the end of the day, Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a video, 400,000 of them will be “completely conviction free.”
