About this ebook

One beach house.

Two months.

Countless lies.

What could go wrong?

It was supposed to be the perfect summer job.

Housesitting in the Hamptons.

And then he showed up.

Lance Welles.

Moody. Broody. Wealthy. Sexy.

And cocky. So damn cocky.

He’ll let me stay for the summer.

But only if I pretend to be his girlfriend.

I agree. Why wouldn’t I?

It’s not like I’ll fall in love.

The first time I saw Vivienne Radcliffe,

she was in a fire-engine-red bikini.

Setting fire to my house.

Well, not exactly my house.

The garden of my Hamptons estate.

She says the house is hers for the summer.

But it isn’t long before I realize . . .

I want Vivienne to be mine forever.

What a fantastic addition to the New York City Romance Series. This is book 4 in the series of stand-alone’s and this is Lance Welles and Vivienne Radcliffe’s story. Vivienne thought she had it all, a great job, a wonderful boyfriend and she was living the Manhattan dream but that was yesterday and today has a very different outlook, today she is jobless, single and homeless. But it’s not all doom and gloom because her best friend comes up with a solution to the job and living arrangements, why not become the housekeeper in the Hamptons summer share house she has just invested in. Take care of the property from Memorial Day and Labour Day for free rent. Lance is a self made billiard he has just purchased a home in the Hamptons so imagine his surprise when he turns up to find his house has a lodger who is trying to clean up what’s looks like a frat house. What follows is two people from different backgrounds forging a friendship then a fake relationship and finally love. This book has it all, a moody, broody Billionaire, a adorable heroine, some seriously hot encounters , some witty moments as well as a captivating story that drew me in from the first page and didn’t let me go until I had read the final line. This is a very special read and it’s going to stay with me long after finishing this amazing story. It’s a fantastic addition to the series and I’m sure I will certainly be re reading over and over, I highly recommend you all one click this gem, you won’t be disappointed.

This fake relationship romance was so fun, heartwarming and poignant. Vivienne is fresh off of a bad relationship, now she also has no job, and nowhere to live. When an opportunity arises to live rent free while taking care of a beautiful home in the Hamptons, she jumps at it. She is working several jobs and trying to save money so she can start her own business at the end of the summer. Lance is still reeling after the heartbreaking loss of his sister. As the part owner of a successful security firm, he is in NY to make some connections for his business. Unfortunately all his friends and contacts want to fix him up with a girlfriend as well. He is not interested in a relationship, especially with someone who is only interested in his money. When a misunderstanding happens at his home with a beautiful, hardworking woman who is living there unexpectedly, he can't help but play along. Vivienne intrigues him and he can't fight his attraction to her. Vivienne is suspicious of the new broody, sexy man renting the home, but his charms and thoughtfulness soon win her over. They begin building a passionate relationship they both think could develop into more. But when she works too many jobs, he convinces her to work for him as his fake girlfriend for the summer. Will they be able to trust the others feelings when money is involved? Will Vivienne be able to trust Lance when she learns his secrets? I really liked Lance and Vivienne together even when they frustrated me at times, and I didn't always agree with some of their actions. But they were good together, balancing their flaws, and their chemistry was explosive. I was sucked in to their story immediately, and was taken on an entertaining, emotional, swoony and sizzling ride!

Hamptons Heartbreak was a great read! I had so much fun reading this story and really getting into the minds of these wonderful characters. I love how the Hamptons came to life in this story. I felt for Vivienne and was rooting for her in a sense that she became her own independent woman. Lance is a strong hero, at first I didn't think he and Vivienne would be together. They were so opposite but that chemistry was wired all over. I whole heartily loved this story and was happy that this was left with a HEA! So much growth and strength comes with this story which stays with you for after the end.
