Besides the question we asked more than any other during the COVID-19 pandemic, “What Day Is It?” is the new single from Orange County brother duo STEEN — and, if you follow their video, maybe a good reason to track them down and crash their next day party.

The duo, Elijah and Isaiah Steen, debuted in April with “Red Lights.” They profess to be “genre-less,” but here they check in with a likable, slacker indie-rocker, produced by Justin Raisen (Charlie XCX, Kim Gordon, Angel Olsen, Yves Tumor), that tickles your feel-good.

As for the video, the Steens worked in film and video for the likes of Bryson Tiller and Teyana Taylor before embarking on making their own music. “Our real intention with the ‘What Day Is It?’ visual was to capture the essence of what it really means to ‘let go,’ which many of us need now more than ever,” they say. “That inner rebel never truly disappears … so why hide it?”

Let go? Mission accomplished.
