On July 6th, Pop’s Smoke Shack of Kimberling City caught fire. Pop’s is a family owned business and is ran by a small staff. Pop’s is a staple in the Branson and Kimberling City community and are always finding ways to give back. While there are still many things to sort out, there are some immediate needs of the Bradley family and their employees. Your donations, shares, and support would be greatly appreciated as we help them rebuild and support their staff during this time.
KIMBERLING CITY, Mo. — Late Tuesday night at 10:45 p.m. a Kimberling City Police officer on patrol reported smoke and flames coming from a popular local restaurant, Pop’s Smoke Shack, 11863 MO-13.
Southern Stone County Fire responded. Fire crews arrived on scene to a fully involved screened in addition where the smokers were located. The fire was quickly brought under control. The bulk of the fire was contained to the exterior addition. There was smoke damage to the main and second floor, District Chief M. Moore released in a statement.
The restaurant posted on their webpage: “Pop had just finished loading our best & biggest smoker for the night, as we always cook overnight in that smoker for the next day.”
“We are heartbroken, we have lost the entire Shack, all our smokers, the kegerator & most of the bar and water damage.”
