Nasty Bastards MC #7

Sweeten My Life

Rate this book
Love is the last thing on her mind. Commitment is something he thought he would never desire. She doesn’t know where to run. He wants her to sprint toward him.

Horrific doesn’t begin to describe the beginning of Paige Hale’s life. Choices are not something she’s ever been given. When the Nasty Bastards liberate her, she’s handed her freedom on a silver platter but doesn’t know what to do with it.

Independence becomes an overwhelming concept. Choices become too many. Then there’s him. He wants too much. He wants everything, and she’s not sure she can give that to anyone.

Country knows how to read people. After all, he was once an undercover detective, and now he’s the secretary of the Nasty Bastards MC. He can tell when someone is being genuine, when a person is scared, or when they’ve been through the depths of hell.

He knows that she is the latter. She has been through hell, but he’s bound and determined to bring her back. If she’ll only let him. If she can relinquish herself to him. If she can accept what he has to offer her… which is everything.

Really swett

Cowboy has it bad for Paige. Paige is scared because of what has happened in her past. Eventually she lets go and lets Cowboy claim her. After a little drama not much they get their HEA!

For it being the last book in the series you would figure we would at least learn the name of the mafia dude.

Sooo good! I love that Country fought for her! She not only needed to see that a man could be good and everything she deserved but I think it helped him really understand the depth of his love for Paige. There is no question from the start of the book that he loved her but he showed it and that’s what matters. The story was really fast paced and I was hooked from the start. I was really sad when it was over. There isn’t anymore pre-orders for more in this series but I really hope we get more, or from certain scenes in this book maybe even a spinoff! Either way I can’t wait for more books from this author.. 5 stars #2OCCJD

After Repair My Life (Book #6), there were two distinct thoughts that were running through my head. 1. I was afraid that this series had run its course. I thought a few details could have been wrapped up, and then it was time to move on. 2. Maybe, it was me that had lost interest. I was scared that it was me more than anything else.

I am not sure if there's a magic formula, but I have the hardest time writing reviews for books that are exactly as advertised. For Example: One of my favorite plot lines in an MC romance is when the the female main character has experienced some form of trauma. She's then rescued by the MC, and one of the brothers wants to claim her as his.

When the Nasty Bastards rescue Paige, I had instant visions of Alessia from Tame My Life. They have similar backgrounds where they are forced to atone for other people's sins. Alessia has this notion that she's needs to be useful to the club. She doesn't take the time to heal, and you can tell with the way her story is. I didn't want to see the same thing happen to Paige. Even though Country is interested, she still wants to be able to plan her future on her terms. She's not willing to go with the flow because it's the easiest for everyone else.

Oh Country! I think you've just won the award for the best brother in this series. He's fully aware that Paige is scared to move forward. If he pushes her too fast or too hard to be with him, she runs. There's a moment though that is going to solidify your love for him. In one of his inner thoughts, he mentions that the only way she'll ever trust him is if he doesn't give her a reason not to. I think I might have swooned at that part.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ironfist. I loved him in Shake Up My Life when he was telling it straight to Riff. I hated him in his own book. He wants to claim Rebecca and her kids, but at every turn, he's making a bonehead decision. However, in Sweeten My Life, he plays the big brother role very well. It almost made me love him again with the way he protects Paige simply because she's Rebecca's friend.

Only one not so good thing that I thought should be mentioned. Country has a backstory that involves the LA Chapter of the Nasty Bastards. I wish this would have been explored a little more. How did it all play out? How was he still able to keep a patch? I just had follow- up questions.

In my opinion, a five star rating belongs to a book that is pretty near to perfect in every way possible. Sweeten My Life fits that description, and it restored my interest/faith in this series. I am excited to see sneak peaks of my some of my favorite couples.

-I don't think it was mentioned previously, but Country has a backstory that involves the LA Chapter of the Nasty Bastards. I wish this would have been explored a little more. How did it all play out? How was he still able to keep a patch? I just had questions.

This is a powerful book, one that captivated me from the first page to the last! It has an epic romance with heartwarming interactions between the main couple, interactions that showed a heroine moving on from her painful past and growing stronger with the support of a delicious hero. Add in issues surrounding the MC and you end up with a story that keeps you glued to the pages.

Paige Hale's life has been one painful incident after another, it's been a life not her own for far too long. So when the Nasty Bastards MC comes to her rescue she doesn't know how to react. She's lost and unsure of how to act, where to go, and most importantly who to be. She doesn’t think she deserves anything good in life and it adds to her already bumpy journey to starting over. I ached for all she'd been through, ached for her to finally find some peace and happiness, and with some unlikely help it ends up being an immensely satisfying return to the land of the living for Paige with Country by her side.

From the very start Country shows himself to not be your typical biker by his immediate commitment to Paige. He's drawn to her from the very beginning and is all in, desperately wanting to help her start anew (and start anew with him especially), and I found him endearing with his slow and gentle interactions with her. He's got some baggage of his own though that causes a few bumps in his burgeoning relationship with Paige, bumps that were frustrating at times, but it showed necessary growth for them as a couple and as individuals for them to deal with the bumps head-on.

On a whole this was a satisfying tale, a nice balance of action and romance, featuring an appealing main couple whose romance I was rooting for from the first page to the last. Though I've not read other installments in this series I still had no problem grasping the ins and outs of this MC world. What I read intrigued me and now has me wanting to go back and read this series from the start. In the genre of MC romances Ms. Faiman has crafted a real winner here and I definitely recommend it to fans of the genre, fans of emotionally intense tales full of heart and soul.

This week has been the week from hell.
I've had so much work that I could barely breathe, let alone read, but when you live to read as much as I do, you'll find the time to do it.
Hayley Faiman is the one to blame.
Her books have caught me hostage and the need to read them is overpowering.
Her writing is raw and wild, intense, dark, and hot as hell.
Sweeten My Life is her latest release and it's the seventh book from the Nasty Bastards MC.
This book explores the lives of Paige and Country.
Paige's life has not been easy. She had suffered tremendously and after being saved she seeks refuge with the Nasty Bastards MC. She's not a damsel in distress anymore, she's a fighter and her determination will take her everywhere.
But can she resist Country?
Country started as an undercover detective but the MC entered his life and now he's the secretary of the Nasty Bastards MC.
He has this unique quality. He can read people like a book. He can find out what's on their minds so when his paths crossed with Paige his only certainty is that he wants her.
I knew that I would love this book, just by reading the blurb and I was so happy that I was right.
Super happy because I was glued to the book, from the first page.
I love these guys, and it was awesome to have glimpses of them.
Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and hot... Oh so hot.
The characters worked perfectly with each other and you can see the love they shared.
It was so intense the struggles they were dealing with.
How can you give yourself entirely to someone, when you feel incomplete?
How can you be truly happy when your past is the reason for having nightmares?
There is only one way. True love, and when that crosses your path, don't let it escape.
This book was so, so, so good that I wanted to keep reading.
But now it's over and now I was left feeling incomplete...
I want more, I need more from this MC family.
Will we have more Hayley? Please say yes.   I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Good but sadly not great

Faiman is one of those authors that I stay up until last midnight waiting for her books to be released so I always expect to give 5 stars for her books.

Unfortunately this book didn't do it for me and I was so looking forward to it. I have loved Country in the previous stories but not so much in this book.

However his love for Paige did save him in the book. He didn't do what others have done which is have an argument then sleep with skank then go back to his old lady annoyed they are upset because that's the life. He really loves Paige but what was missing for me was the righteous anger for Paige. Compared to previous heroes in this MC he seem sort of chill about the reappearance of someone from her horrible past that wanted to hurt her.

Othee than that as always I now wish I was on the ARC list for the next book in the serious, I really hope it's Bans and Moxie, but I do love Frogger too and want him to have his happy ever after. Please let there be a novella for Frogger.

If anyone does have an idea who is in the last of the serious please comment as I should be asleep but now lay awake thinking about it. Definite my worth a read!

If anyone deserves a little sweetness in their life it’s Paige, she absolutely deserves it. Having lived in sheer hell throughout her young life she struggles when it comes to the normalcy of being part of the NBMC family, and the love that Country wants to give her, she’s scared to take that next step, with good reason, but Country’s a man who knows what he wants and it's Paige.

When Country leaves to clean up the mess left behind by the clubs rat he finds more than he or the club had expected, however he does gain the woman he's wanted. With Country being away Paige has had time to think things over, the status of their relationship in particular, letting go of the issues from her past it's time to let Country in, fully.

Of course things don’t go quite as smooth, there are many surprises which lie ahead, twists and turns make for some interesting reading. Sweeten My Life is a fantastic addition to the series, the last one actually. I’m sad to see the NBMC come to an end, however I look forward to seeing what’s in-store next from this talented author.

This is a sweet MC romance with a strong woman who is not just a survivor, but she becomes a "thriver". Paige has had a rough abusive past and has found sanctuary with the Nasty Bastards MC, more specifically Country. Country is so understanding, encouraging and supportive of Paige. There is a very little violence in the story, it is very minimal. The story focus' on the relationship between Country and Paige and their growth individually and together in a relationship. There is drama and turmoil coming from Country's past girlfriend and coming from Paige's own insecurities. The story has the addition of the MC trying to unravel a mystery from previous stories. This book is part of a series and you could read it without reading the other books, but you would be confused about what's going on in the MC. The story refers to some events in Paiges past that may be triggering or uncomfortable for some. Overall a great story of a womans triump over a bad past.

Fighting for these two! Paige has had a really rough life and her past trauma has really made her doubt everything in her life, from her decisions to her future to her relationships. After all the back and forth with her, Country is struggling with if she is worth continuing to fight for their potential relationship, and he decides to go on a mission for the MC in order to get away from her and the situation and think. When Country leaves, it does exactly what he wants it to do to her, and she starts to realize how much she cares for Country and wants him in her life for good. I enjoyed the love story between these two, but the bigger storyline is what kept me on my toes and intrigued. I was on the edge of my seat reading and figuring out what Country was searching for on his mission and how it relates to Paige and her past, and Hayley did not disappoint with the shock factor! I can’t wait to see who’s next in this series and what more comes of the MC trouble!

This was another 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the start and didn’t want to put it down.
These two characters were great, Paige and Country were perfect for each other. Paige struggled with what to do after the MC rescued her. Country wanted to be there for Paige and he set out to prove that to her. He was so good with her and for her. There is so much more going on. You feel like you get more than the love story due to MC issues as well. This has quickly become one of my favorites in the series and I would love to see more from these two.
If you're looking for a great MC read I highly suggest this series. It can be read as a stand alone but starting from the beginning is the best so you can meet the whole family. 1-click and get started today.

Finally!!! A man in this MC who wants to lay claim to his woman and wants nothing to do with any other woman. So yes, the people that are triggered by cheating, rest assured this one does not have it.

Country is all in with Paige. He wants nothing more than to have her be his wife and old lady. Paige however is the one who is struggling with this.

Now, Country should have been more understanding of why Paige was reacting the way she did. With his history and the things he saw in his previous line of work, he should have seen the signs.

Paige may be young but what she has been through in this short compared to Country is absolutely horrible. However she has made it through and survived.

You will fall in love with Country and Paige’s story!

Paige is struggling every day to continue living. Once rescued by the Nasty Bastards MC, she is freed to live her life anew. But the outside world scares her. She doesn't know what to do or how to be her true self after so many years of fear.

Country may be a biker, but his heart is true. Like most, he has baggage of his own. He is smitten with Paige from the moment they rescued her. He stands by her side and helps her to navigate the outside world. He is calm and patient with her.

But like all relationships, they are filled with bumpy rides that you have to hold on to each other for. Will Paige be able to move on from her past and embrace a relationship with Country? Or will her fears hold her back from a love of a lifetime?

Country Lovin’

I’ve been waiting for Country’s story and it did not disappoint. The once detective has now become one of trusted members of the NBMC and he’s finally found his woman but she comes damaged after everything she has lived through before the NBMC rescued her. Now he has to convince her that he’s here to stay until she can get herself accustomed to living without those who kept her enslaved.

I loved Country’s patience and the way he handled his relationship with Paige. He was not only doing that but at the same time he was trying to help his club away from the LA Mafia. There are still so many questions as to who the higher up actually is. So, needless to say I can wait for more from this series.

OMG. I loved this one! It’s my favorite in series and Country and Paige are my favorite couple! I loved them both so much. Paige had a horrible childhood before she was rescued and went to the NBMC. She’s been trying to find herself and is scared to allow anyone to own her again. And all Country wants to do is make her his. She knows how incredible he is, but she doesn’t think she’s good enough for him. But this man was absolutely beyond perfect and he was so patient with her. He didn’t want anyone else and was 1000% devoted to her- even when she didn’t know what she wanted, he still didn’t turn to any other woman. Perfect.
I really felt for Moxie. More about Smoke is revealed and everything he did to betray the club, and how he had a whole other life that no one knew about.

Kinda glad Paige got her story.
This story picks up after Paige is introduced.
Country and Paige have a crazy relationship before this book starts.
But with how much drama Paige has endured, she's got serious trust issues from anybody.
Country is having a hard time with this, so he goes to deal with club business so that Paige can figure things out in her life.
As much as I've enjoyed this MC series, it's had ups and downs. I'm happy that something that happened in the last book was addressed in this book. I really enjoyed this book as much as i hurt for what Paige endured. Ended up really liking Country so much!

Loved this book!

I loved this entire series. Paige & Country seem to be at a crossroads. Paige is scared to take the next step and with good reason. Country knows what he wants and it's Paige. Country leave to cleanup the mess a rat left behind with the LA mafia what he finds is more than he expected.

I'm sad to see this series end because I feel there are still more stories to tell. Especially one of a betrayed and broken hearted women, who once gave support to all other Ol' Ladies. She now feels like a charity case and burden since finding out her man was a rat and everything out of his mouth was a lie!

Paige's life has been one of abuse and degradation. So when she is liberated by the Nasty Bastards motorcycle club, she doesn't even begin to know what to do with her life. Zeph, aka Country, has fallen for this damaged girl and is determined to support her, no matter what the outcome, although he wants to make her his own. It's hard for this alpha male to step back, and let her find her way.

Add in an ex girlfriend who wants to make trouble, and a mafia contract, and there is action and suspense, as well as camaraderie, and love. And hot sex.

Readers get ready for the next Nasty Ba$tard to fall. Country has claimed his woman, he wants her, needs her and does all he can for her….she just isn’t ready to be claimed. Paige has been through the depths of Hell and survived. Now she is learning how to live, thanks in large part to Country and the rest of his MC. Their road isn’t a simple one, Paige’s past makes trust seem like an impossibility at times. Country decides he needs to take care of some things for the MC, but in the process part of his past rears it’s ugly head. Readers get ready for a fast paced, steamy, sweet and satisfying ride with Country and Paige!

Loved this MC Story!
A really good book! Paige has lived a life of pain and brutalization. When she is rescued by the Nasty Bastards MC, her life changes although she doesn't know how to accept the new life. Country, the club secretary, knows she's scared and wants her for himself and to help her come back from the brutality she suffered. This story is such a tangled web. Country's past comes back along with added insecurities for Paige. I love Hayley Faiman's MC books. You will love Country and how much he wants to take care of Paige. Don't want to miss on this story.

What a change from other MC books. There is little to no violence . Instead this book concentrated on the relationship between Nasty Bastards secretary, Country and his woman ,Paige. It truly is refreshing.
Country is an ex detective turned MC member.
Paige is an abused ( physically, sexually and emotionally) woman by the hands of the men in her life.
In comes Country… a man who is so enamored by Paige he almost can’t survive. All he wants is to publicly claim her but she ….. ( can’t give away everything. ) Read this book for the answers you have.

If you have read any of the previous Nasty Bastard books, then you have probably already fallen in love with Country; you will fall deeper in love with him in this book. He is a Cinnamon Roll MC H, not the alpha I was hoping for, but perfect for Paige, who needed someone sweet and tender to show her love and trust.
While the h backstory had complications, I wish the plot had more drama and action, it was a long book, and not a lot happened. They were already together from page 1; they have a HEA. It just felt like the story was lacking.

This is a story about Paige who comes from an abusive past first her father and second from the man her father sold her to but now she is in a relationship with much older Country from the Nasty Bastards MC. He is all in with Paige and wants forever with her but because of her background she has a hard time committing to him but when he goes to LA to take care of MC business she realizes that no one but him has ever treated her as good as Country. Will she commits to him before it is too late?.

The story of Zeph and Paige is a completed story, but is part of a series, if you do not know this series you may miss information to follow the story. The author has a pleasant, accessible writing style.
The story gets off to a slow start and the pace stays a bit slow.
This is the first book I read by this author in which the hero really doesn't care about other women. Zeph only wants Paige and her past makes it difficult for her to accept.
An entertaining series from a catchy author.

Paige has not had a good life, she has never has choice in anything. After not having any choices, having too many is overwhelming. Country wants to make her his ole lady but she is hesitant. Her actions hurt him, but he cannot see himself with anyone else. Paige has self doubts and does not believe she is good enough for him after what she has been thru.

He goes on a trip for an extended period time to give her time to make a final decision, either say yes or they are done.

Paige and Country has the perfect blend as a couple as she is trying to learn where she stands in the world and he is patient with her reluctance to be in a committed relationship with him. Definitely an intense read between these two. I love how their relationship progresses when it comes to trust and working through their issues.

I devoured this book. From beginning to end Country and Paige drew me into the world and I was not ready to leave when I reached the end. Paige has been through hell and Country is nothing, but kind, patient, loving and caring toward her. Paige feels she doesn't deserve it and try as she might to keep him at arms length she can't imagine her life without him. I loved going on this journey to happiness with them.

Paige did not have much of a childhood especially when her dad gave her to a man at 13. Years later she meets Country and he claims her to his club but she won't accept his claim. She thinks that she is too damaged and is scared. This story contains angst, misery (mistaken as it might be), Mafia of a sort, intrigue, adventure and a HEA.

Loved this story. Zeph is an ex cop and the secretary of the MC, who has strong feelings for Paige. Paige has many insecurities relating to her early teen years when she was taken advantage of, she very low self esteem and can hardly believe that Zech is interested in her. It takes an awful lot to get her to accept that there is a future for them. Great story.
