Tavascan, the all-electric Cupra crossover coupe from the Spanish brand, has been revealed in a new image.

The first all-electric car in the Cupra brand’s lineup, the Tavascan 2024, is declassifying itself more and more before its debut.

It is noted that the production version will be unveiled in 2024.

The history of this model began in 2019, when the novelty was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a concept version.

Despite the fact that quite a lot of time has passed, the production version has not yet gone on sale.

However, work on the project continues, as evidenced by the previously presented teasers in a meta-universe format, which showed a prototype close to the production version.

One of the most anticipated Cupra models will be introduced in 2024, lagging behind its competitors — Skoda Enyaq iV Coupe and Volkswagen ID.5.

The competitors of the model should already go through a restyling procedure. Accordingly, the release of novelty will probably coincide with the beginning of sales of facelifted version of the competitors.

At the moment there are patents available on the web, which demonstrate the main features of the model.

Soon we expect to see photos of the production prototype of Tavascan.

Despite the fact that it is not known reliably how the production copy of the crossover will look, thanks to leaks there is an idea of the appearance of the model.

If you compare the Tavascan with its competitors, it stands out against them due to its brighter, more individual appearance and modern style.

The sleek roof line flows smoothly into the voluminous stern of the car, creating a more elegant and sporty silhouette.

It is known that the cross-coupe, named after a village in Spanish Catalonia, is based on the MEB Evo platform, an updated architecture for Volkswagen’s electric cars.

Previously presented concept was equipped with a 306-horsepower twin-engine unit.

Acceleration to the first «hundred» takes less than 6.5 seconds. The range is 450 kilometers.

The Cupra Tavascan is due to premiere in 2023, as sales of the electric crossover are scheduled for 2024.

The novelty will be the first of the high-profile debuts, as it will be joined a year later by a compact hatchback in the style of the UrbanRebel concept.
