Mast Support for 26M

I think a similar design was discussed by Captain Steve in a post. In order to support the mast other than just at the ends while trailering I constructed a support out of a 12 3/4 inch pvc drain pipe (I think I paid $5 at Home Depot for 10 feet), a Tee, and an end cap. I attached the end cap to the pipe and sawed 2 parallel slots, spaced by 3 5/16 inches and one inch deep in the bottom of the cap/pipe combination. This is so the cap can sit with the slots over the 2 metal mast support brackets on the deck. Finally I cut about 1 inch off the top of the Tee so the mast could sit in it. There are no holes in the center of the deck brackets with which to bolt the assembly so I wrapped a bungee around the mast and Tee and hooked it to the holes in aft end of the brackets. This holds the mast and assembly to the deck. I plan on tieing the mast to the stantions bases on either side to minimize side-to-side movement.
